To me it stopped being connected after the second Avengers.

Well we've only had two movies since Ultron and for what it's worth it seems like the show has been affected by Civil War -- it seems like SHIELD is now dealing with the registration issue of the Sokovia accords and Phil did mention the conflict of Civil War as well when he was protecting the inhumans from registration.
I think the thing is that the movies will always influence the show, but not the other way around. They don't want people to feel like they have to watch the show to go to the movies, but the people who watch the show will probably see the movies. So they will have tie-ins where big events in the movies impact the show (most notable being the Winter Soldier) but the show will never drive anything significant in the MCU by itself. At most you get token feedback like how Phil's secret was that he built a new helicarrier for Fury to use in Age of Ultron, but it's just background noise that you will only know if you watch the show and isn't important if you miss it.
I like the way it's structured and run. It ties in well but doesn't require viewing to enjoy the MCU at all.
Ghost Rider confirmed during SDCC panel.
Gdi was beaten haha
But yeah ghost rider confirmed. They just showed the Shield symbol light up in flames > explode > a fiery skull appear > statement "Vengeance has come"
Vagrant must also be here as unless your at the panel he couldn't of known that fast =p
It was on twitter almost immediately. I'm on the opposite side of the country

Wonder if AoS can do him justice. I was more hopeful for a Netflix series I think, but AoS has certainly gotten better too. Beyond Asgardians, they haven't really dived into anything magical or mystical right? Excited regardless.
Yeeahhh....I dunno how this will work, but we'll see. Maybe they'll do something like "oh here's another rider - zoom out and it's johnny seeing it on the news" or something to that effect.
Spoiler: show
Nick Cage thought right?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Errr. How is this going to work?
With AoS pushed back to 10pm it allows them to be darker and more gritty. So that's a start
It worked so well for Revenge of the Sith! But looking forward to Ghost Rider. Only watched 2 episodes of AoS ever though, so... lol
I've decided as long as he's not an inhuman they can have my faith. Fuck them if they end up making him an inhuman with an uncontrollable urge for vengeance though.
What could happen is that Daisy could hear about the Rider punishing people, tracks him down, asks to be punished because she's all survivors guilt, he looks at her and says something about how shes "Not Guilty" and snaps her out of it. Though, we would probably get an episode or two of emotions and flashbacks while she comes to terms to believe nothing was her fault.
Probably get a good 10-13 episodes out of that alone with some Coulson stuff mixed into it.
