Am I nuts, or didn't they refer to the new director as she/her in the finale for last season?

Can't wait to watch the Episode today. was too busy yesterday to catch it!
Seems like the move to 10 PM will let them let loose a bit, I don't remember any other episode being quite so bloody. Pretty sold on Ghost Rider being included, though his introduction seemed a tad off since Daisy had no idea who or what he was at first, even though we later find out he's been laying waste to dozens of people in the area. Simmons being a boss lady feels awkward and I'm not sure how I feel about SHIELD suddenly being SHIELD again, rather than a standalone strike squad with Colson at the helm. Guess it'll ride on how much the director and the support of the organization actually fleshes out the series. I think that's one aspect I didn't like about season 1; here's this big secret organization with massive leaps in tech and capabilities, but you rarely saw it ever put to use.
I don't think we need episodes that go in-depth about how technology gets used day to day. They throw in tid bits about what they have and what they are developing. For example, Icers. We had an entire eppisode in Season 1 dedicated to it and showing how it was field tested. I think going forward, the audience can assume that the MCU world, especially Stark and SHIELD side of it, has and will continue to have fantastically advanced technology.
Personally, I'm more interested in seeing them fleshout characters, expand the universe, build up and develop plot and stories, than seeing episodes dedicated to how Fitz is building VR training room. That being said, I can see them using few episodes to show how the LMD is coming into existance, but ultimately, it'll end up being used as plot-device. Someone is DEF getting killed this season only to turn up being an LMD.
Not sure what I think of the new Director. Since Coulson legit stepped down it makes sense, but I just get a weird vibe about him. Also not a fan of the entire team basically being split up at this point so I hope they all regroup again.
As soon as the Book of Darkhold was mentioned I knew that was related to Doctor Strange so I guess that subsplot is supposed to be the movie tie in?
Standard issue shotgun axe, Daisy doing superman jumps, Ghost Rider scene being awesome, and May going full beast mode. This episode was pretty stellar.
Same feeling about the director. Curious what the full range of his powers are and what the real goal of the 'new' Shield is. Wouldn't mind if it going public meant it got brought back into the movies in some fashion.
Are we getting an episode tonight or is it preempted for the debate?
Damn your politics!
This was pretty cool:
lol @ the guys saying they didn't like the show though
awww man that Mary Jane.....
Finally binged the first 3 episodes of this season. I really like how they handled Ghost Rider. I was quite surprised at the quality of the special effects for a network TV show.
I think I like Shotgun Axe better than I like Mack the character.
Any word on if there will be a Dr. Strange crossover? They definitely seem to be getting into the more mystical side of Marvel with the Darkhold and Ghost Rider.
I'm sure the episode that airs after November 4th will have some brief mention of whatever aftermath of Dr. Strange there may be. They've done it with several of their movies.
They don't have the budget to waste in bringing in any of the stars from the movies to be in episodes. You'll get some side characters like Maria Hill and Sif, but that's it. I'm surprised they got Sam Jackson for the first season to be honest.
