The cast did an interview with the three letter network that we can't mention and tried to talk about season 5 but they've been sworn to secrecy. Basically they said season 5 is AOTS in space, there will be MCU crossovers, appearances by blue people (I assume Kree), and Chloe Bennett ships a Skye/Fitz relationship but Ian De Caestecker wants no part of it.

I don't keep up much with TV news and junk outside of what I care about. How rare is it for a show's season premier to be announced less than 2 weeks before it airs? Doesn't exactly give things time to get hyped up much.

Previews showed little other than someone who seemed dressed very similarly to Star Lord and some kree. Here's to hoping it does well this season so the show can continue on, but my faith is kinda limited. Hope they don't drag out why they're in space too, seems random enough going into it.

They've been talking about the series premiering early since August when it turned out Inhumans would be a dud.

ack in May, it was announced that S.H.I.E.L.D. wouldn’t be on the fall schedule. Instead, Marvel’s Inhumans would be paired with Once Upon a Time on Friday nights for the former’s eight-episode run. While it seemed S.H.I.E.L.D. wouldn’t be back until January, ABC Chief Channing Dungey offered up some good news for fans of the Marvel drama.

“It’s going to come on right after Inhumans,” Dungey said at the Television Critics Association’s press tour Sunday. “As soon as the eight episodes of Inhumans is done, then S.H.I.E.L.D. will begin.”

Thanks to the Inhumans run, Dungey also noted that S.H.I.E.L.D. will air its 22-episode season mostly uninterrupted.

Are they trying to make us think that is Star-Lord in the clip? Jacket, pants, and boots are all similar but there's no way they get Chris Pratt for this show, even in a cameo.

Well for one I think it would be leaked and we'd hear about it. Second getting Sam Jackson in season 1 was basically Marvel trying to get ratings for their fledgling show. I don't think they'd shell out for Pratt in season 5 of this show, most likely the final, which has been declining in ratings since episode 1.

It's gonna end up being Hunter I'm pretty sure.

Well, wasn't expecting the setting for this season lol. I knew they were in space based on the end of last season, but did not see:

Them being in the future and the Earth being destroyed to be where they were going.

Should be an interesting season.

I'm curious if they'll manage to tie this all back into the MCU somehow. With Disney pushing through season 5, makes me think there's a reason to it. Here's hoping it generates enough buzz to keep on going after this season. This premier gives me hope cause it was pretty solid.
