In theory none of these matchups should be hilariously lopsided, so it should be a fun first round.

That is pretty much exactly what mine came down to, though age was also a large factor. Anyone who is supposed to be a goal-scorer on San Jose other than Hertl and Couture is like 45.

I just expect a lot of 1-0 and 2-1 games in that series lol. Sharks have a lot more offensive depth than the Kings but if Brown and Richards actually wake up in time of the players, even that gets more even.

The Hockey News talked a bit about corsi numbers of teams in close games. Kings were the highest in the league by couple percent points (which is a pretty big lead.) They're made for the playoffs so it's hard to pick against them. If it weren't for the Ducks playing the Stars, I'd say they're prime for an early exit cause their close corsi numbers said they were getting better results than they should. Then again, it could all be bullshit.

Pretty much why im picking against the Ducks. They are a terrible possession team and seem to have a lot of luck go their way. The Stars on the other hand are a top 10 possession team.

If Doughty and Voynov get the green light to dive in on the attack and grind hard on the forecheck like the last cup run while leaving Quick to save their asses on the possible odd rush, could be higher scoring for the Kings. Doubt it will happen but I can only hope.

Lol nah hes still here. he went on a scoring tear in March and has been our 2nd best defenseman behind Doughty since coming back from the break.
