I've liked every RE movie, but the first one will always be the best.


They don't seem to take themselves seriously and have the campy feel of the games and that's what I love about wm

I have mixed feelings all around at these movies for completely hypocritical reasons.

The first one, objectively ok but didn't have the feel of the games.
Second onwards, trying to literally rip scenes from games (but add Alice) and I feel it's weaker for doing so. I believe one of them (4?) basically ripped the whole Wesker fight scene from RE5 and I was thinking the whole time "this is so fucking cheesy".

Straddles the line between "guilty pleasure" and "why am I watching this".

How does it work in English grammar? "This" implies this year, and while it's still this year even though the month has passed, wouldn't it be right to say if it's next year to say "Next January"?

English is just weird really. You can use this/next interchangeably here. Language majors may opt for "this" though.

"This" is understood to be "This coming" in this context whereas next implies "not this one but the following".
