Switch version having the real soundtrack pisses me off so much. I really hate this current stage of video games where buying games early just screws you over.

What makes it so "definitive" other then the soundtrack and 2D? Even that isn't enough for me to get it as DLC, let alone another copy.

The 3DS version has some additional content. I don't remember exactly, but I think you get to visit worlds from previous games to do quests and there's an extra dungeon.

And I just read up that this version gets additional scenarios where each character is the hero.

I have no love lost here. PS4 got the benefit of the game a considerable amount earlier than those who held out for the Switch version. I'm sure a part of that decision was so people would be compelled to double dip at the 60 price point.

That said, I would expect they'll give the PS4 the definitive edition stuff a few months after the Switch version at the latest so they can pull 20 bucks from the people who didn't double dip.

"Holding out" is a shit behavior to reward with more content.

Like hell, I'll pay $10 to upgrade my game to get more stuff. Just don't make it so I'd have to buy and replay the whole damn game on a new console to access it.

It just makes me not want to buy games at launch ever, especially for SE games.

edit: I just thought I'd be safe with this one since they had initially mentioned no DLC for it, but instead do this.

They were always going to add stuff to make the port worth it. It's just enough for me to not go ahead and buy it now.

I'm sure PS4 will get it within the year. Probably announcement at E3 or similar event.

tbh this is how I feel about any game now.

Spiderman came out Sep 7, and in Dec they were selling the game + all DLC for cheaper than original.
