I would not be surprised if Nintendo requested they let the switch version be announced in this Nintendo Direct tomorrow... but if Square Enix is going to be releasing all their titles later on Switch then they aren't going to get sales on Switch...
Well, from that same business standpoint it also makes a little sense (at least for Nintendo) to sell the 3DS version now (much higher install base than PS4 in Japan) and then do the Switch version later as a Director's Cut so that the Switch version doesn't cannibalize 3DS sales.
I think when it comes to Na market for DQ, it'll sell what it'll sell regardless of version, so in a weird way it may be better to have the NA version release as a PS4/3DS/Switch title at the same time Switch is released in Japan a few months after the JP release of the 3DS.
I got chills as soon as the familiar theme came in during character introductions.
The main character looks like he could be a generic NPC
The old guy and one of the females looks that way too.
3DS Version
Does anyone know if NA will get this, and if they will have that same package deal?
3DS version is almost worth it for the sprite-style gameplay
No information on the Switch version because of "various circumstances"

DQ11 Nintendo Direct for JP Land on 6/21 around 8pm JST.
Direct will "mainly focus on the 3DS version".
Edit: This also likely solves the "missing" Nintendo Direct spot that was removed during E3.
Confirmed for Western Release (duh)
Guess they don't really care about having a gap in this franchise eh?

If they released X today in the US I'd still buy it.
