Wat Billy was not popular, he was a nerd. Tommy was an outcast. The rest were the popular ones, and even then Zach wasn't so much popular as he was Token.

The OG rangers were pretty popular in their school, but they were the main actors in a time where no one expanded upon the supporting actors in a kids show lol.
Not sure how I feel about them being super powered outside of the suit. Just seems like some generic kids get super power powers and fight bad guys. But that is what power rangers is anyways. I'll reserve judgment but im now in the cautiously optimistic club
Rita may save the movie
They did have powers outside the suit, but it was never really explored so it was super rare to witness. The only ones I can think of off the top of my head was Jason doing some kinda Terry Board-style power wave, and Zack doing a Johnny Cage super kick.
Hmm, I know the first episode has them all get their shit pushed in by putty soldiers, until they're like "oh yeah, morphers", and then they wiped the floor with them. I know their talent with martial arts/their specialty improved with the seasons, to where they were just badass fighters to start with, but I can't recall anything superhuman outside their suits.
There was that phase where they had Ninja transformations then Ranger transformations. They needed to be at least Ninjas to deal with the new level goons.
Billy was a nerd but I don't remember any scenes of anyone picking on him except Bulk and Skull who were cocks to everybody regardless. As for Tommy, I specifically said the original 5 because he was obviously a separate case. Also idk wtf you're talking about with Zach. If there was tokenism going on how does he qualify any more than Trini?
shouldnt the helmets cover up their faces so peeps dont recognize em, and to protect them from getting shot in the face too
wat?
And this has not gone unnoticed:

‘Power Rangers’ Looks an Awful Lot Like ‘Chronicle,’ Says ‘Chronicle’ Writer Max Landis
“Power Rangers” is basically “Chronicle 2.0,” according to screenwriter Max Landis.
Landis, who wrote both “Chronicle” and an early draft of the the new “Power Rangers” movie, took to Twitter over the weekend to critique the first teaser for the upcoming film.
When a fan pointed out the similarities between the two films, Landis replied, “Yeah, it appears they hired the writer of ‘Chronicle’ and he wrote a ‘Power Rangers’ movie, so they fired him and made ‘Chronicle’ instead.”
“I wrote a silly, fun, goofy retro teen action adventure movie,” he continued. “They fired me, and five or so writers later, it appears they made ‘Chronicle.'”
I kinda wish the helmets didn't have the lips. They seem so out of place.
The original had lips though...

If Jason and Kimberly are hooking up I'm gonna feel so betrayed.
Trailer look eh....ok i suppose, don't like that they just randomly find the power coins but well we can just wait and see.
As for ^ that'll be to create a twist for the sequal when Tommy arrives so him and Jason have a feud with each other over her.
Didn't notice til someone at work pointed it out but they sexified the pink ranger to almost modern standards.

Pink Ranger was always the sex appeal ranger, I don't think they ever tried to portray her as otherwise lol.
Supposedly Goldar will be in the movie, too.
