It's currently at 42% on Rotten Tomatoes, which, while not great, is not nearly as bad as I was expecting. I was honestly expecting bay-former levels of bad, soooo..
Oh, strike that, that's another example of someone who had a career afterwards. But I think my point stands, it's crazy to see how many of them don't make it.

I think it's moreso when you are taking a spot as a lead in a campy children's TV show, it is probably because you don't have a ton of alternate prospects to choose from. Then afterwards you probably have to deal with the burden of being typecast after. Most of the success stories that started in children's show stars are the Disney girls who generally lean on their music as well.
Johnny Yong Bosch has spoken a bit about this, saying something along the lines of Power Rangers does not exactly set you up for a career. He also has mentioned his audition process consisted of hundreds of people trying out and having to know martial arts, dancing, gymnastics, or a combination of the three was mandatory.
Then there's his talk about being underpaid and overworked which was interesting to hear in detail.
Yeah the original Mighty Morphin cast all had to know martial arts or gymnastics so that they could do their own stunts in the scenes without the suits. Today that would be deemed too dangerous for the main cast to do without doubles but it saved Saban lots of money to force the actors to do it. The cast was severely underpaid given the stunt work they put in. This pay dispute is why the original red, yellow, and black rangers left.
Also David Yost (Billy) was harassed for being gay and eventually walked out in protest with a bit still on his contract, which is why he was hastily written out of the show by marrying him off to the alien.
