Legacy of the Lost: Part 2

    Gessho

Notes from Mission fight at 75 cap:
Some of his TP moves are renamed Yagudo special attacks. All of his TP moves are as follows:
    - Hane Fubuki - Feather Storm; ranged attack and Poison
    - Happobarai - Sweep; AoE damage and Stun, blockable by shadows
    - Hiden Sokyaku - Double Kick; knockback and Stun
    - Rinpyotosha - Howl; Warcry effect
    - Shiko no Mitate - Parry; Defense Boost on self
    - Shibaraku - 500-1500 AoE damage and knockback, blockable by shadows

Went in as Pld/Rng/Rng/Geo/Brd/Whm. We were the first to finish this on the server, so we went in somewhat blind. Overall, it was easy. Pld was never in any danger and could tank all the clones. When the clones come out, all but one has its HP bar hidden. It seems that killing the one with its HP bar revealed will forcefully despawn all the clones and resume the fight with Gessho. Gessho is invulnerable until his clones are taken care of. (There was an arrow shield when his clones were out.)

Mijin Gakure didn't do much damage at all, and seems to be max range of 22 like AAHM. This was all done on Normal difficulty and we cleared it around 13 minutes. I can't imagine Difficult being challenging since our tank never dropped below white. Dropped Ptica Headgear.

    Title : Gessho Pinioner
PLD RNG RNG WHM BRD SMN
Gessho calls his clones very often in VD, every 3-5% sometimes. It's not a problem at the beginning since you can still dd him (clones depop after a TP move) but once under 50% you have to kill the right clone each time.
Everyone but the BRD and SMN got killed at around 30% but we managed to recover while kiting Gessho (Cait Sith got useful for the first time with Arisega lol). He didn't try to summon his clones during all that period.
San nukes from Gessho and his clones did 435 dmg (x6) on our Aegis PLD with -68% MDT (Shell V was dispelled before).

What was the benefit of the SMN over an extra RNG, or just what you had?

Mijin killed the entire party except the pld for my normal run. Easy as hell for the pld to tank though so definitely not that difficult of a fight.

Crimson Howl, Tidal Roar, Diamond Storm, Shock Squall adds upon pop and EA for Mijin but we were all at 20' range <50% (most of time), Spinning Dive was averaging 2,2k. I don't consider SMN necessary for this fight though, a third RNG could be more suited for an optimal setup in VD.

The adds pop with the debuffs Gessho already has. Not counting the clones, Gessho alone has around 200k HP. Five of his TP moves inflict a Knockback effect (Hiden Sokyaku, Shirahadori, Shibaraku, Kamaitachi and Tsujikaze).
