WTB: Usb repair

I have an iBasso usb dac that only works in the USB if you hold/tape it in a very specific angle, but it does work, so I assume it's fixable?

The company is in china, so if I send it to them to fix it, it'll be 2+ months before I see it again.

Have you tried opening it to see if it has a lose connection to the board that can be fixed? Tried cleaning the connections in the port?

Honestly this isn't something like a phone (let alone a popular or current model) where you can find replacement parts. Pretty much falls into the category of buying a new one if it breaks.

I had a USB Drive once that did the same thing, Like they said, it was just a loose connection. Opened it up, and just applied a dot of solder to it (first time soldering), and it was as good as new. Well until my ex wife found it full of lewd pictures of an ex I forgot to take off and tossed it in the toilet.
