I feel like that's why I'm putting off the real content for so long. Taking my sweet time with the Divine Beasts, just finished the second one (fire beast - Fireblight Ganon is a joooooooooke with the fire armor lol). I mean shit I've been playing for dozens of hours and I haven't even unlocked more than maybe half the map yet... so much to do, and I don't want it to ever end lol

I spent the entire start of the game unlocking the towers. Doing some of them withonly the starting 3? Or 4? Hearts was pretty rough. But yeah, if you buff up from the start the rest of the game can be stupid easy. The DLC content is really the only mildly challenging part of the game.

Also if you rush straight for the Hylian shield you can basically go the rest of the game without having to replace it, the durability on it is insane. I did an entire play through on both modes and only replaced it once on normal and twice on master.

lol you must have had a lot of fun with the tower near Hyrule Castle then, the one surrounded by guardians (unless you were smarter than me and just killed the guardians first)

This is why I stopped doing shrines. Just so I can at least use the bike to go from shrine to shrine lol

This was probably asked forever ago but: Why isn't there a PVP aspect to this game?

Wouldn't it be cool to have 1v1 or 1v1v1v1 or 2v2, etc. on the battle stage for the final DLC fight? I feel like that would be easily implemented in a game like this. They had a PVP in their most recent handheld, link between time I think it was called? It wasn't great, but it was still somewhat fun.

There isn't a PvP aspect because it would be fucking stupid, not every game needs PvP

out of curiosity: how did you guys find the armor sets that aren't purchaseable? did you use a guide? or did you just run into them as you explored?

I'm debating if I want to look some of them up; it's more fun to find them at random, but if you do it that way I feel like you're rarely going to complete them while they're still obscenely useful (like, I used a guide to find the climbing set and I have used the shit out of it; finding the pieces randomly would have taken dozens of hours if not longer)

My personal way of playing games for a long time now is no guide/looking anything up until I beat the game I'm playing. After that though, I tend to just look up everything to see what I'm missing, but I still avoid guides for stuff like puzzles or bosses that I missed because I do enjoy figuring them out on my own.

In the past, I probably would have just kept exploring around for a very long time after beating a game, but I just don't have time for that anymore with how many great games are out now + real life stuff.

In my master mode playthrough, I did take the time to look up some of the armor sets (specifically the Phantom Armor one for +atk) because as mentioned, my available time is short and something small like that made things go much more quickly.

I have been trying to do more playthroughs without a guide though, mainly only looking online to see if there are any missable items/events and then backtracking when there is something obvious missing (like a skill node when you're 3 or 4 ahead, or an item that is very clearly not in sync with other item progressions).

There are some things you will absolutely not find without the internet.

first runs 100% blind. if things remain unfound so be it, the sense of discovery and achievement from figuring out noise on your own really can't be replicated by reading a paragraph on Reddit about it.

second run or completionist run tho look up whatever's clever.

Totally agree. But that armor set that takes shooting stars, fuck that. Internet all the way.
