Just saw it and loved the movie

Interesting they went with Mushroom Hill which was technically designed for Sonic 3 before the game was split into two.

I have a feeling that Eggman ends up finding a Chaos Emerald in Mushroom Hill and starts jumping zones to collect more and invades Tails home which causes him to seek out sonic. Imagine if there was a buildup for finding the chaos emeralds...fans would blow their load seeing Super Sonic on screen...

Oh man, this movie was fucking great !
With how the movie started with the Echidnas I assume that opens the way for knuckles as well !

I hope the sequel involves the Chaos emeralds and sonic going Super SANIC as well.

Lastly, the ending scene with Carrey sporting the bald head and huge mustache was spot on for Robotnik !

Sonic design controversy probably helped market the movie, and there is obviously a huge nostalgia for sonic and classic 90’s Jim Carry. Also movie was fun for the whole family. It's not rocket science.

Speaking of I had been of the mind that they were using it as marketing to help promote an otherwise just okish movie. Even the later trailers weren't that exciting to me but was going to go just for the old Jim carry, nostalgia and ya know someone in entertainment actually listening to fans for once. But damn was actually a good video game movie. Though all the kids that showed up didn't really seem to get the references or half the jokes so often me and my date were the only ones reacting at times

I don't necessarily mean putting out the crap one though not completely against that but the actually responding so immediately and positively to the backlash. Like they already knew what they had an saw an opportunity to do something to get more butts in seats than might have otherwise. Kind of opposite of what a lot of movies do these days
