Fantasy is pretty dumb. It's basically how many players can you get that will play the worst team in the league that week. The baseball fantasy style would be a lot better for this. Oh well, it was fun for like a week. Now back to just watching games for enjoying the game, and not giving a shit about fantasy points.
Since when have match-ups not mattered in other fantasy sports? If anything the draft is too important because the pool of players is too small. I wish we could get some OGN and LPL players on the pool.
In my desperate attempt to procrastinate instead of studying for finals, I've been making my own spreadsheets. Only have the NA numbers up to date currently. Here's the average for opponent's points against each team in the league. This is only factoring in individual players, not the team points for towers and stuff.
vs COL - 22.19
vs EG - 15.61
vs CRS - 14.89
vs TSM - 14.06
vs LMQ - 13.15
vs CLG - 12.96
vs C9 - 11.46
vs DIG - 8.42
EDIT @Ringthree: That's really my main gripe with almost all fantasy sports. It's also why I mentioned baseball's common rotisserie system. It promotes actually picking and maintaining a solid team as opposed to a weekly band of mercenaries. I guess in something like football there are enough free agents and viable trades to make it work, but as you mentioned there's almost no room for management after the draft in a 6 or 8 team LOL league. To each his own, I suppose.
Better teams get more pts vs worse teams, shock news update. More at 10.
You're contradicting yourself here.
You say Baseball Promotes picking a solid team as opposted to a weekly band of mercenaries.
Then you say - There's almost no room for management after the draft in a 6 or 8 team LOL league.
??????
In league THE most important factor in winning fantasy is picking a solid team. There's little room for transfers and limited subs - you can't just "get a weekly band of mercenaries".
You have 3 subs, before sub picks the contested positions ( adc/mid ) were almost devoid of talent, leaving room for subs in mostly top/jng/sup roles.
Almost no room for management != no room for management. You and I have both been fairly active in swapping guys in and out of our teams if there is a better option available. Making the most of what is available weekly is largely about playing matchups for that week, which was my original point. I'd rather not be shuffling around mid-to-low tier players like that, which is something I wouldn't be doing in a rotisserie scoring system. If you think the fantasy system is fine, and you enjoy it then that's great. Keep having fun with it. I'm just giving my opinion on it so far.
Fantasy rosters lock in an hour ish, don't forget.
Fuck you Niq, fuck you right in the ass. I have the worst fantasy team NA.
Almost 35 points, right down the fucking drain.
I better not regret keeping Dyrus and Bjerg in this week.
Lost to Gryffes this week but I kinda expected this loss because I kept 2 TSM members for a "last chance" sort of thing. Results were as I thought.
This week is hype for me not because I expect to win but me and Zet are going to troll each other and do a CLG vs DIG setup.
4-man league is silly since you can do things like this.
I'm gunna loooose. Pretty sure unless CLG falls on their face they are going to shut these games down quickly and I will get no points. lol.
Watched a lot of the games this week. EG winning was hilarious. I am still a huge CLG fan. Aphromoo+Doublelift.
I dunno who to play vs Dant this week.
Do I hedge on LMQ? Or go balls deep.
welll.. LMQ has an insanely easy week next week so
Gryffes: Do LMQ. We all go hype train for our respective teams and never look back.

Mod Edit: Better title.
