I don't know how strong/weak any of those are now though, but like they said, play what you like. I have some fond memories playing annie, fiddle, and ziggs (lissandra was fun too but I felt I couldn't get a lot done with her outside of laning).

Try Tristana. She's a very easy champion to use when first starting to learn ADC, since she has a good escape tool and a lot more unforgiving if you get behind.

I'm answering most of my questions as I play but I'm still really confused on the team selection. I get usually a tank/support goes up top right? Mid is solo it seems and 2 bottom... but like how do you know who to pick when everyone is picking their champs? I guess it requires me knowing what each champs role is? Seems like a lot to remember, I guess becomes second nature later?

I'd recommend doing the Team Builder in the beginning. You pick the exact role you want, so you'll have lots of chances to brush up and get better. Eventually, you'd want to play a little bit of everything, to learn the game better, but even then, you can use Team Builder so you always know what you're going to play.

This. You'll know a lot more about avoiding getting ganked by the jungler etc. if you learn to play jungler. You don't have to be perfect at it, but I recommend at least doing a few games to learn jungle routes and how the jungler generally functions. It'll make it a lot easier to avoid getting ganked.

Of course, you can learn it without playing Jungle, but you learn it a lot better and faster when playing as a jungler. It's generally things like where to ward to get the best map awareness, learning how to spot a difference in behavior in enemy lane, when it's most safe to push or fall back etc.

Generally speaking, you should at least learn all roles, even though you don't have to get good at all of them. Besides - unless you use team builder - you can't always have your first or even second pick. So it's always good to know the other roles just in case you need to play the role of top laner because of some lame "Xx or feed". The latter is not as much of an issue in ranked games, but still.

Oh wow I didn't even know the team builder was a thing. Thanks so much, I was getting so stressed trying to pick the right champ cause I only know how to play like 4 of them at the moment and as soon as champ selection came up everyone would call mid, bot etc... and I never knew what role was supposed to pick or if my champ can do that lane etc... this should help immensely for a while till I learn what everyone can do!

Good call on Tristana whoever said that, she's a lot of fun haha, and was having a blast with Teemo last night. Still like Kayle and Morgana as well. I tried fiddle but I need more practice with him vs AI I think, was getting wrekt vs players.
