I'ma hit it back up tomorrow.
I'ma hit it back up tomorrow.
I think I may have reported a couple gamefaq links by accident (was unsure from the discussion if those were same parent company) and don't know how to take them back. Sorry for extra clutter >< (found a couple valid ones though)
Would it be possible to add a swearword filter in for their URLs to prevent future links?
I can't say I'm surprised. Having lots of forum/no follow links can do more harm than good for your site in terms of Google positions. But I doubt this is the reason why they're doing this as they are big enough to have enough good quality backlinks that it has no effect on them.
Shout out to Hellfury for reporting a bunch of stuff. Great job by everybody for getting on top of this.
There are times when drama is hilarious, and there are times when it is stupid. This case is the latter.
I woke up extremely early for some reason, so I'll take some time spamming that report button before I head off to work.
I've personally been removing all mentions of these sites as well as the links/images/etc.
Don't see the point in leaving them there when I'm already on those posts anyway.
Keep on reporting! Its incredibly helpful.
Found one of my old-as-dirt posts that had a Gamespot link in it...
Still digging for more links to kill time.
I gotta head out for work, but I know there's some still floating in the Vita thread. GL guys
I'll check that; going though a search for Gamespot now that i'm up.
Okay, got 5/9 pages cleaned of Gamespot. Just so people know, I'm not being anal about removing all mentions of gamespot/ign; just links, videos, pics and articles. Any mentions of them, say with review scores, stay. But I do want my lunch, lol. ^^
yo how could Lbelle betray us like this?
I removed my "in game name" posts too cause I don't play those games anymore anyway ;o
That's fine octopus; I just won't remove ign as in ingame name willy nilly. That's why you need a human to go though this; a machine can't tell the difference.
We are editing posts with links, images, and quoting of content. But if you just type "ign" or "IGN" that's fine.
So we are now and forever more free to spout off how pants-on-head retarded IGN is being right now.
Glorious.
