I'd put up the big three in Chicago against anybody.
Even my beloved king
I dunno Rhinox, that depends on too many pieces in play. If the Bulls can get Melo only by amnesty Boozer while keeping Taj and Jimmy Butler (because Melo doesn't ask for a full-value 4 year deal), then I would say yes. The Bulls team would be better than the team that just lost in the finals.
But if they have to give up Dunleavy, Taj, and Butler to make room for a full value deal (which I'm not sure the Bulls can fit under the tax even by getting rid of those players). Then suddenly you have a glaring hole in the starting lineup (the second guard slot) and a bench consisting of...well, Eric Snell and a draft pick probably.

http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/stor...s-opt-contractCarmelo Anthony has decided to opt out of the final year of his contract with the New York Knicks and become an unrestricted free agent, according to multiple sources.
Anthony has until Monday to officially inform the team of his plans.
How much of Melo going to the Bulls makes sense only if Rose is back to something that resembles his former self? How many years has it been since Rose played a full season? If there's no guarantee that Rose can play at that level, is there really any major incentive for Melo to go to the Bulls?
Probably not right this moment, but you have the remember Rose is still 25 years old. Not to mention Noah is fresh off a Defensive Player of the Year season. And as the top 3 defensive team, maybe Melo can improve defensively from playing under Chicago's system.
Rose/Melo/Love/Noah....oh man make it happen
Good, take Melo so there's one less team to fight for Love with the Warriors.
I don't think Rose will ever be the same player he was pre-injury. I just hope we get rid of Boozer.
It's not about Rose's age, it's about Melo's age. He's 30 now, how many more good years does he have? I think Rose/Melo/Love/Noah could have happened if Melo's contract was up next year and Rose came back and was able to show that he's close to what he was before he got injured. But given his age, if Melo wants a ring, I struggle to see him going to the Bulls.
I dont think Rose is mentally the same as he was before. He looks scared/depressed on that sideline. I think he is unsure of himself. Just have to wait and see what he does when he returns. I just don't have my hopes high.
Melo on the Bulls makes Roses job much easier, I think that's a no brainer for both of them. Less stress on Roses' knees the better.
i find myself caring more for where love goes and less on Melo
Yoohoo big summer opt out
eff those guys i wanna see lebron on the move
Need my rockets to get lebron or love or melo or rondo.
dunno why all you fuckers are sold on chicago. even with melo, rose knees are shot to shit, noah cant score to save his life.....Im sure they will finish top 3 in the east(but ANY team in the west can do that lol)
Would love any of them minus Love...still not convinced he isn't anything more than just the best player on a bad team.
