Look for some template ashitacasts (Pretty sure they are out there) and then you can just fill in your equipment in the sets until you get comfortable with writing the fancier stuff yourself. Or maybe someone here will give you some examples of their own. I'm looking for a blm one with death myself as I'm too lazy to make one as my blm still needs some jp...

    Found some: http://supernovaffxi.wikia.com/wiki/...mple_XML's

Not sure how old they are and can't look at the due to work firewall, but may get you started.

^my current BLM xml, which hasn't been updated in a long time and probably still has a few holes.
the idea here is that you change sets through variables, /changeset MB0 will make it so that stand/idle will follow sets that have MB0 after them.

and i was bored and wrote up a melee RDM xml, but good god is it messy. you could probably do without the variables... maybe ill clean it up.
the gear remains to be filled in for the melee slots. should be obvious i think where the gear goes!

    save this as .xml

place in the folder at ashita > config > ashitacast

in game, type /load ashitacast then /ac load filename.xml

place /input in front of those that just say input

make sure they are in the ashita / scripts folder

in game, /exec script.txt (or you can do it without .txt)
So after looking at the ashitacast templates I was still a bit intimidated by them lol, so I tried the above but it kept saying that it couldn't open the file when I tried to use the macro's ingame? Not sure what I'm doing wrong...any suggestions? Sorry ><

if its in the scripts folder already, you dont need the "scripts/" before RDM_melee.txt
you can just do /exec RDM_melee and it would work

I'm not aware of anything that allows this as the chat window in the game is non-editable/non-copyable as is. You can easily write an addon / plugin for Ashita to dump the chat into an external window using the new UI stuff, or even to a file though. You could also use my third-party API to write a simple chat program to monitor and print out chat in an external application.

AshitaCast may be able to do this. I'm not 100% sure though as I don't use it. You could check that out though.

My main issue is I always used script macro's with windower - never used any kind of gearswap addon thing, so for example I'd do something like this in notepad:
    input /equip main "Egeking"
input /equip sub "thuellaic ecu +1"
    input /equip ear1 "Ghillie earring"
    input /equip ear2 "Brutal earring"
    input /equip ring1 "Tyrant's ring"
    input /equip ring2 "Rajas ring"
input /equip head "jhakri coronal +1"
    input /equip body "jhakri robe"
input /equip hands "jhakri cuffs +1"
    input /equip legs "jhakri slops"
input /equip feet "jhakri pigaches +1"
    input /equip neck "Asperity necklace"
    input /equip waist "Cetl belt"
    input /equip back "Atheling mantle"
    input /equip ammo "Flame sachet"
for a basic melee set for my RDM and then in game to set it up in my macro i'd have it entered into one of the macro slots like:
/console exec RDM/rdm_melee.txt or some such thing and then I'd have another set up for WS and casting various things e.g. i'd have a macro for para2 and it'd be linked to a script that put on various enfeeb gear and then autocast the spell ....is there a way of doing this in Ashita? Sorry for the hassle, like I said I'm not the most tech savvy girl on this planet >< thanks for your help in advance
Yes, you can do this easily in Ashita.

Commands are direct input, so you do not need to use 'input' in front of things. Just use the command directly.
So in your text file you would put:
    /equip main "Egeking"
    /equip sub "thuellaic ecu +1"
    /equip ear1 "Ghillie earring"
    /equip ear2 "Brutal earring"
    /equip ring1 "Tyrant's ring"
    /equip ring2 "Rajas ring"

and so on. And then in game you would do: /exec RDM/rdm_melee.txt

You can use <command delay="#">command</command> in ashitacast on your pre/mid event to trigger a delayed command, where # is delay in milliseconds. As far as a custom timer, I don't think ashita currently has an API to display them. It wouldn't be very hard for someone to make, though.

Well there is an plugin called duration that puts up timers for buffs. I would just want that functionality, but be able to use it for custom spells to time debuffs. It would be nice to be able to configure that plugin in general actually, since the timers are off (I think it's not counting some augments?), and it isn't setup to recognize a lot of buffs like blue magic.

that plugin is coded like shit and honestly what you're asking for is windower's timers system which would be a significant amount of code/time for someone to make

it's somewhere on my list of things i'd like to do, but reality is there's no guarantee it will ever happen

    Ashita Launcher v3

Hello everyone, a few days ago I released the new Ashita launcher version pushing it to v3. This is a complete rewrite of the launcher to be more optimized, faster, and more stable. The changes for this include:
    • Change: Complete project rewrite.
    • Change: Updated the various internal libraries used.
    • Change: Full overhaul of the UI to be more appealing.
    • Remove: No longer making use of the MahApps.Metro library.
    • Add: Added navigation icons to the header for easy access to the various Ashita sites.
    • Add: Configurations can now be double clicked to launch instead of requiring you to press the play button.
    • Add: Configurations now have a right-click menu for faster access to various options.
    • Add: Configurations now display if their window mode status.
    • Add: Configurations can now be force-reloaded.
    • Fix: Configurations will no longer automatically recreate the 3 basic configurations if you delete them. (These will only be created if Ashita.dll is not present, signifying a first launch.)
    • Fix: Configurations will now properly update on the configuration list after being edited.
    • Fix: Addons / Plugins should properly display their install status now. (Minor issue some had with the previous launcher.)
    • Change: Full overhaul of the configuration editor.
    • Add: Configuration editor now includes some basic help info for those that are unsure of what does what.
    • Change: Ashita's launcher now makes use of major async operations to allow things to be much faster.
    • Change: Ashita's downloading system has been slightly tweaked to hopefully increase download speeds for some.
    • Change: Increased the timeout period of Ashita's downloading system for users with slower end systems. This should prevent invalid timeouts from happening.
    • Remove: Removed various unneeded assets and code that may have lingered around.
    • Change: The error messages that are produced by Ashita should now be more detailed in the event it fails to inject / launch the game.
    • Add: Ashita will now display full exception information on unhandled crashes. You can use this info to report bugs easier.

    • Fix: Fixed an exception issue trying to update files in use.

    • Add: Added theme setting for configuration editor help info category foreground color.

    • Add: Added theme setting for configuration editor help info text foreground color.

Note: When the theme file is updated, Ashita will backup the current theme to Theme.xaml.old inside of the Assets folder. Ashita will default back to its own theme when this happens to ensure that it can boot properly when the theme has been changed. You can go back and readjust your settings from the old theme file into the new one. In most cases settings will not change name or be removed. If anything does change in that regard it will be announced.

    Launcher Changelog (3.0.0.10)
    • Fix: Fixed an issue where Ashita would overwrite some files if Ashita.dll was deleted manually. (Default.txt, and some default boot configurations.)

    Ashita Website Update

Hello everyone, last year Ashita's website was lost in the hardware failure we had. This past week I worked on making a new basic site with the general information about Ashita v2, links to useful bits of the project and such. The site can be found here:
    http://ashita.atom0s.com/

    New Addons

    • AH-Go http://ashita.atom0s.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=41 - AH-Go is a small addon that patches a function in the game that handles determining if you are close to an auction house or not. This patches the function to make the game think you are always near the AH after it is open, allowing you to move around the zone while still browsing and using the auction house. (This is a useful addon for private servers that allow you to access the auction house from anywhere in the world.)

CraftMon http://ashita.atom0s.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=46 - CraftMon is an addon that will display the results of your synth as soon as you begin crafting. It will also display the results after the synth has completed, useful for those with various filters or similar, but still want to see result information.

I'm thinking about returning to vanadiel, and did some reading up on windower/Ashita. I decided to give Ashita a shot so I downloaded it yesterday, first on my work laptop (hp, windows 10) and on there it ran fine. In the evening i downloaded it on my alienware, that I've been using for gaming for the last 6 or 7 years now, and it doesnt even open a window there (windows 7 pro). It will ask for permission to change things on the HD, but after that, nothing.
Any hints or tips on how to get it working appreciated. And yes I have dotnet 4 and all the visual C++ thingies on it.

Bah didn't see this before but how exactly do I report on there?

And while I'm here there's a problem with lootwhore. Having the the new item kakai cap or the +1 in inventory immediately makes an error that unloads lootwhore.

edit: same goes for new ambuscade gear

Problem is most likely on ashita's end and once the new resource dats are added, the plugins will continue to function. Mentioned it to atom0s.

This sounds like you are missing one of the requirements for Ashita to work properly. The latest Ashita launcher requires .NET 4.5.2 or better to work properly.
Ashita itself needs various C/C++ runtimes to work properly depending on plugins and such you wish to use.

You can find the system requirements here:
    http://ashita.atom0s.com/wiki/doku.p...m_requirements

Hmm. I thought I checked that list before, but now you mention dotnet 4.5.2 and I think I missed that. I will check tonight, see if that makes it work.

Am back now, playing on Asura, it's good to be back
