Holy shit they skipped a lot of the 40s chapters in the anime. Guess I can't really blame them considering the content..

Well, that was sure something.
Too bad the ending is going to be an absolute aberration now.
Makes ya wonder how the book will go more then the anime for sure... now I want the manga to come out even faster ;/
Spoiler: show
Akame edition!
Lol. Just lol. This adaption is nothing but comical at this point.
So I totally forgot that Mine was dead in the anime and it took me a few seconds when she popped up in the dead Night Raid members montage.
It's going to be really interesting to see if this is from an outline they got from the mangaka or it its just an original anime ending super turd.
Well that was...something.
Kubo flashback/PTSD
I thought the last episode was pretty boss. Given someone awesome has died in like half the episodes, I thought it was a solid way to go out. Kind of agree with Gulk's spoiler though; not enough closure for a real death imo. That said, the person isn't in the preview for the next episode so who knows. I would be more upset if tiger lady / sis bit the dust.
Was Gurren Lagann the first to do the whole "bro" thing with a flamboyant older brother type? Feel like it was straight up lifted in this, but I don't watch a lot of anime.
from what i can recall, it's the first I've seen... also Bulat's VA is the same as Kamina, if it wasn't obvious already lol
The Tatsumi/Bulat relationship is a direct parallel to TTGL.
Bulat and Kamina have the same VA.
Bulat bites it in Episode 8, same as Kamina.
Bulat loves fighting spirit, just like Kamina.
Taku Iwasaki composes the music for both series.
The Incursio evolution was awesome. The episode itself was awesome if you remove the original part from it, but the death is just sour and rushed.
Four survivors is a big thing for this anime lol. I like it a lot anyway, time to jump on the manga I guess!
Was that the final episode? Seemed like it.
Yea that was the final episode. Not sure how I feel about that ending...the whole final stretch leading up to it kinda took the steam out of the whole series. Was just "meh"
Did Takahiro really write this? It's so cliche and predictable. It's like a fanfiction ending. You could literally write "...and everyone lives happily ever after" and it would be completely serious.
Great show marred by a very meh original ending. It's too bad but at least it's over and I don't have to sit around waiting for more.
Now to wonder how the manga will go...
So I haven't kept up with the manga (stopped around the time Susanoo ate it), but where does the anime start to converge away from the manga?
