Tested at least one new food, fried popoto gives VIT+2 HP+30 and Defense+40. Nothing special unless it has some hidden benefit like enmity or pdt or something. Didn't give anything to my pet either.

It's a special event....
Those don't follow lore...
How do these moogles have a supply of papers and stones/cards/coins/etc from an entirely different universe?
There is no answer. Because it's just an event that isn't based on lore.
Next you'll be asking why various things spawn around the beginning cities every New Years... It's an event.
Thrashing Assault seems to be Fusion / Impaction
cdc > ta > fusion
savage blade > ta > light
circle blade > ta > impaction
burning blade > ta > fusion
Too bad. I was hoping it would make light or dark with CDC.
You mean how does it make sense in the past has items from adoulin, when there are maws for geos and runs to go thru and bring them there? Its the same arguement about how new job relics showed up in dynamis at a later point.
just did normal followed by tough
normal was like you said
tough isnt a pushover, however on phase 1 melees need to be a bit cautious with DT gear, or apply scherzo. phase 2 is a curaga spam fest, mages with decent idle sets should have no problem surviving. Distract from /rdm landed fairly well on him. PLD not really needed for both (we went with pld since we didnt know what to expect)
setup: PLD MNK MNK GEO BRD WHM. Replace PLD with another melee.
got Fast cast body on normal
and occult acumen legs on tough
occult acumen legs are 3% MP cost transfered into TP. WHM/SCH (no occult trait) got 45 TP/1000TP back from holy II (150 MP)
Think ya'll reading way too much into his statement about lore.
Got meteor from Fiat Lux also
Unsupringly, but still cool, haste II's potency is greater than many slow 2 effects so it wont be overwritten by those effects.
Yeah overwritten never was about potency anyways... is that just speculation or have you seen it. And if you have seen it is it something that could overwrite haste I?
honestly it just looks to me like anything that could overwrite haste can overwrite haste II. bothersome but expected
Anyone have any guesses as to what the Latent Effect on Shetal Stone might be? I looked the word "Shetal" up all over wikipedia and google translate and found nothing.
Just did Splitting Heirs, event drops were O.Bronze, Indi-Fade, Hahava's Mail, and a heavy metal plate.
Shadow Lord
New TP moves :
Damning Edict (enhanced version of Dark Nova): AoE dark based + Curse (-50% HP) + physical immunity for 1 min.
Swath of Silence : Cone physical AoE + Silence
Casts : Fire V, Firaja and Flare II
Second form :
Bowels of Agony (enhanced version of Umbra Smash) : high physical AoE damage.
Setup : PLD, MNK/NIN, MNK/NIN, BRD, WHM, SMN. It wasn't particularly difficult on VD.
Giga Slash is his most powerful TP move but it's blinkable.
Implosion is 30' and terrain/height difference doesn't seem to help in avoiding that.
Bowels of Agony is potentially dangerous for mages but the range is incredibly small (around 6' or 8'), it's possible to hit everyone with Curaga without being in range.
Title : Brillance Manifest
Drops : Onimusha-No-Kote, Lightreaver
Mithra trackers :
Setup : PLD, NIN, NIN, WHM, BRD, SMN.
The fight was chaotic on VD, almost timed out. I can't really explain how their hate works but it's clearly not just "everyone on the same target during Skillchains".
Z's Wyvern Healing Breath III only on itself, X's Rabbit casts Blindga, Bindga and Breakga.
Title : Sin Purger
Drops : Shetal Stone (Z and X), Baghere Salade (Z), Durgai Leggings (Y), Nilgal Pole (Y). Each Mithra has her own treasure pool.
