Since the "royal family" gave out the power of aldnoah, if the king dies, wouldn't that remove the aldnaoh power from all the dukes etc etc since he gave them the power? I'd presume only the princess/bloodline of the royal family would still have their own power still, but that would kind of end it quick, considering he does seem to be old/dying as is anyway.

Pretty much king dies, only princess has the power, everyone else loses the power. Unity between mars and earth with princess using her powers to bring both together using that spaceship, everyone lives happily ever after.

Well, since the whole death=dead drive thing is apparently known, it seems that there must be other members of the royal family, otherwise the knights would be crazy to assassinate Asseylum. So, maybe some of the other family members have given Aldnoah power too?

Its even mentioned in Ep5 around 4min that its the royal bloodline that can "summon the power of aldnoah" and "the foundation of the vers empire" ep and in 6 around 10mint they also talk about how the power of aldnoah and the vers empire started... so only apparently the king and his daughter are the only ones with the power, they can hand it out and they can take it away considering the wording of how they say its given out. basically controlling the army(and people) with the power of aldnaoh. So from what we seen, if he dies, the knights will lose aldnoah powers.
