I think I'm disappointed in that scene not so much because I liked the character, but because now basically all the time that was spent on building up that character is now a waste.

But then clearly such a return wouldn't involve any of the storylines built up so far, nothing about her struggles as a cop or how she'd react to seeing Lucy Lawless's character again. As a deadite they already know who she is so there'd be no surprise there.

Basically saying someone can return as a deadite doesn't really count; whatever that character's motivations/struggles/relationships would be pretty much moot in that kind of return. You'd have loved ones wishing they were really back and not a deadite, but that's about it.

I was surprised for Heather to last as long as she did.
Did they ever explain what Pablo's amulet supposed to do? Aside from being drawn to the book, it didn't really do much. What did she call him when she was using him as surrogate mommy?
