    Tackled the issue of convincing my (female) gym partner that we are better off sticking to only compound exercises (especially for smaller muscle groups like arms) than going to the machine. Had a pretty decent size argument in the gym so I ended up compiling a bunch of info, including published journal articles and etc and sent them to her.

    She's a physicist as well so hopefully she sees the light and I can start getting a spotter for the full workout instead of just the first 2/3.

    Yeah, which has been another argument between us. She eats pretty much right around maintenance if not a small bit +/- (without counting) on a vegan diet.     Also yesterday watched a girl on the powerlifting team fail to DL 4 plates both side for 1RM, fall down, and pee herself.

    That was hilarious.

    Big-ish, obnoxious, and dye-job red hair + crazy as fuck. Yeah they're pretty obnoxious, we do our best to avoid them but they were there like 30 minutes after they were supposed to be out.

    Started using gloves for deadlifts about 2 weeks ago (instead of nothing), took me from about 180ish DLs to 3x5 265. Being able to hold the bar has changed my entire world. Also up to 3x5 75lb dumbbell press. So god damn happy.

    Also only really started tracking about a month ago but it's now been exactly 3 months since I got back into it. I tracked the weight loss since the start, and all the measurements are unflexed (lol). I'm pretty happy.




    Been on 1600-1700 calories a day pretty strictly (except for 1/day week where I go drinking with friends and try to keep it around 2400 max) and around 160g protein per day. Been getting good results.

    Just started back on a normal routine in about 2 months. Went ahead and did 4x12 Bulgarian split squats. I immediately regret that decision....

    I was 190-192 8-9% bf before I took a break. Sitting around 195-198 13ish bf now. I'd like to get to around 210-215 before cutting calories so we'll see. I'll start back xfit as soon as build my stamina back up to Rx the words. Turning 30 in a few weeks and this past summer I hit PRs on Bf% , every lift, and I had never weighed more than 180lbs while 10% bf. If you find a good coach that programs well there's definitely something to it.

    Yeah the LSU gym is great. And the Matlab tracking has made judging so much easier.

    Thankfully I don't have any Tday plans so able to keep the calories in check. Only thing I got going on is chinese takeout on Tday so that'll probably end up near 2800-3k calories lol.

    Also just got another large arm tattoo done last night so giving myself two days off lifting to let it heal a bit. These last 10lbs are going to be the death of me. Going so slowly.

    Wanted to share one of my white girl recipes with you guys. For those of you cutting like me who still like to drink:

    Vodka + large amounts of lemon juice (the shit you put on fish and chips) + club soda = girlyish mixed drink you can sip on. Club Soda and lemon juice both have < 5 cals per serving as opposed to the like 120cal per cranberry juice.

    It's a bit rough but it's a pretty good alternative to just taking shots or drinking liquor straight if you're a gigantic pussy like me. Happy Thanksgiving guys!
