Fall 2014 Anime Season Thread

Ace of Diamond was super good. I didn't even mind that I watched the bottom of the 6th inning for like 8 weeks because it was only slightly longer than an actual baseball game.

Call me a weaboo fanboy but the lack of new anime episodes for the last 2 weeks (outside of things like Tsukimonogatari) has been dreadful. I know some series have aired new episodes. But none of the series I really like ;_;

Yeah really. Gave me some time to catch up on other media though. Just saw The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) and Jerry Maguire (1996) for the first time. Both are amazing films.

Have you seen BakaTest? It's great comedy right there. One of the funniest anime I've seen along with Nyan Koi.

Not just you buddy, not just you. Tsukimonogatari was nice but it's not enough.

Finally caught up to Inou Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de. This is one of the biggest surprise hit of the season. I enjoyed the heck outta it. Normally I'm not a fan of dense main character, but this show does it right. While dense when it comes to love interests, the main dude is very charming on all the other areas. The first season is definitely setting up for something big and I'm looking forward to it.

New episode of ShigaUso

They definitely rushed through like 2 and a half chapters (with each chapter being about 44 pages mind you) in the episode. But I think it worked out well, the moments they picked were the essential ones and at least the episodes aren't being padded with any sort of fluff. If people enjoyed the last musical performance, the next one is gonna be waaaay better. Next episode is gunna be gud!

The latest scanlated chapter is setting up yet another performance which should be a doozy. Basically Arima letting his instincts and the ability to not hear the music sink in right from the start and putting in what looks to be a rock-solid performance. And then the raw for chapter 43... well.... I don't want to jump to conclusions. They never showed Kaori actually dieing, but they did show Arima saying goodbye during his performance. I'm still holding out hope though. 1 more month until the final chapter gets released ;_;

Next few chapters are definitely interesting. The next performance isn't for some time, but there's a ton of character development to be had!

Manga only has 1 chapter to go ;_;. Gonna be released on Feb 6th I hear

Holy hell this might be one of the strongest blast of feels in recent seasons.

Have you seen BakaTest? It's great comedy right there. One of the funniest anime I've seen along with Nyan Koi.

Hoooly shit thanks for the recommendation. BakaTest was outright amazing. I just downloaded season 2; about to start that. I love all the chars, hard to pick a favorite. (though I'm leaning towards ninja pervert and the Klansman)
