That is awful.
Ugh, would not want to have that job... :/
Seems that the dad spooked the alligator enough to drop the kid, but he still drowned. =/
Whoa kid.
Apparently 4 gators were killed during the search.
I saw five were killed on two different stations.
Good thing those gators didn't eat an LAPD officer.
Feel terrible for laughing at that.
Disney is coming under fire for not posting on signs that there were alligators in the lagoon. People are making the argument that "No Swimming" signs are easily ignored or misconstrued as "Wading is fine"
They will add a bunch of "O FUK, gators! Florida etc" signage all over their properties, and that will be that.
There hadn't been an attack in that lagoon for 45 years. It will be about that long before the next Nebraskan toddler is mistaken for agreeable food.
In parks in the Tampa/Clearwater area they post warnings of Alligators. I get that people SHOULD know better, but growing up in FL, you know about alligators. In 95% of the nation you have no clue.
Really? Until I moved out of the house I'd never left the west coast that I remembered and I knew there are gators in basically any state touching the Carribean. I could see someone not knowing there were gators in say South Carolina but Florida not really. It's like not knowing there are bears in Alaska or most the northern middle states. I mean I guess if these people never watched any TV or read any magazines or papers I guess...
And these no swimming doesn't mean no wading is kind of silly. Pretty sure bleach says to just not swallow but I don't think that means using it as a mouth wash to whiten my teeth is ok
Yep, it wasn't bad parenting at all. It was all semantics.
Hey, no walking in the street because of traffic but if i get hit while riding a bike you should have been more specific.
But you're supposed to ride on the side of the street... of course you're supposed to obey traffic laws too if you do and you wouldn't believe the number of bikers that think stop lights are just for cars
No swimming means stay the fuck out of the water.
