Two bananas duct taped to a wall have sold for $120k each at this year's Art Basel. A third is expected to sell for $150k.
The Art Basel is a fucking joke, has always been for a while. People travel and invade us and causes traffic for no fucking reason for jokes like this?

Another artist ripped the banana off the wall and ate it. He said it was an art performance.
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...orida-n1098001Girl, 12, arrested after making 'death list' of students at her Florida middle school
The student at Falcon Cove Middle School in Weston faces two counts of a written threat to kill and false reporting concerning a firearm, authorities said.
Would this have gotten you arrested 30 years ago? I'm guessing she was being bullied really bad and posted the threat to try and get back at the people and make them feel scared. With the way things are now days young people think this is just the way you get attention. The article says it was just a false threat. I would like to know if either of these charges carries a felony in Florida? If so this dumb mistake will ruin the rest of her life.
Death Notes will get people arrested. Ever since the anime got dubbed, the making of notes by outcasts became popular.
Shortly after Columbine, friend got pulled out of school by cops because some bully lied about him having a hit list. Local newspaper ran with it despite having no proof, either. Pretty much had to be home schooled after that.
So, people acting on such probably isn't unheard of it, and while I'd say better safe than sorry, people here majorly mishandled the situation.
I got in trouble at my middle school because I was playing with wingdings and found an old school bomb with a wick and a skull and crossbones.
I got in trouble for the same shit in high school but back in Word 97 or 2000(i think?) if you typed in “I LOVE NY” with Wingdings, it comes out to something similar to a plane crashing into a building. This was post 9/11... and a dumbass friend told me to type it. Lo and behold my visual basic teacher caught me and not him. Luckily enough i got away with just a week of detention.
No, that would be Q33NY.
The paper eventually retracted, but I don't think they went beyond that. Was only like 13 at the time, but maybe I can find some reference of it on the net here.
Nobody ever reads retractions. That's a major bummer.
Pretty gross scandal going on in my town right now. Local lawyer who worked for guardian ad litem (child advocacy group) was arrested for possession of child porn and a child like sex doll. An even bigger wtf is the judge released him pre-trial and made him promise not to go near kids and come back to town for the trial. Like wtf. The only positive that can come from this is if homeboy jumps off a bridge before trial otherwise what a terrible move.

He was in charge of 200 some kids at any one point and time. Also, it's interesting that Florida only banned child sex dolls just last year and it was a sole democrat who introduced the legislation. The flash drive contained numerous videos showing the sexual abuse of girls as young as 3 years old. One of the videos depicted a young girl being molested by a clown.
Investigators also found what they described as a life-like silicon doll of a nude child at the foot of his bed with a towel over its face and chest.
"The doll resembles a pre-pubescent child with small hands, feet, facial features and genitalia," the probable cause affidavit says. "It was evident ... that Mr. Aring was using the child like doll for sexual gratification."
"The charges are serious, I understand," he said under questioning from Leon County Judge Augustus Aikens Jr.
Aikens granted pretrial release for Aring, who said he plans to move to Tampa to live with a family member while his case moves through the courts. He promised to return to Tallahassee for all court appearances.
Aring was ordered to have no access to the internet and no contact with children. Aikens instructed him not to go to parks or schools or other places where children congregate.
Aring's career includes stints as an assistant public defender in Pinellas County, an assistant state attorney in Monroe County and a senior attorney for the Florida Department of Children and Families in Panama City, according to his LinkedIn page.
He worked as a senior lawyer for the Statewide Guardian ad Litem Program, which represents children in dependency cases, in New Port Richey from 2007 to 2012. His duties included working with volunteers and staff, assisting with adoption proceedings, monitoring the placement of children and making recommendations to parents.
Record cold temperatures in Miami the last few days (in the 30s) prompted NWS to issue a warning for falling iguanas as the poor lizards go into a state of hibernation to prevent freezing to death, and subsequently fall out of the trees they were nesting in.
