Story in 8 was garbage but the game was still fun and the soundtrack is fucking fire to this day.

From a gameplay side, hated how 8 over-relied on summons and how the junctions system eliminated the ability to really use magic.
Junction 100 death spells to your weapon. GG.
Furthermore, 8 had one of the deepest storylines of all FFs you uncultured swines.
Rinoa = Ultimecia
Carrying on with the derailment, I fucking loved 8. Card game was so damn addicting I made it my mission to get every fan one of them. Plus the cinematic ending was, to me at that time, gloriously satisfying.
8 was my first ff game so I always have a soft spot for it. I still enjoy the music, mods de chocobo is my jam.
I have such a deep fondness for FF7, 8, 10, 11, and 12. But I couldn't even get through the first portion of FF15 without getting bored. I was pretty sad in thinking maybe I grew up past the games. I did however recently love Horizon Zero Dawn, so maybe 15 just didn't resonate with me. I wasn't pulled in 15's story at all, even if the game play was semi fun, and the visuals were strikingly beautiful.
I really feel ff15 doesnt hit its stride until 10 or so hours in once you have a chocobo, an arms or two, etc. I was meaning to go back and give it a shake after rushing through to the ending, but witcher 3 and rdr2 got me busy.

You fucking fairies insult my intelligence.
By far the greatest end game boss theme. Second only to The Extreme FF8.
You people are fucking terrible.
I also really applaud FF15 for that final boss choice. Never saw that coming before that game came out.
that shit was wild
Ifrit wasn't the final boss, it was Ardyn, wasn't it?
It was however that was probably the most badass I've ever seen SE make Ifrit.
