I don't know anything about comic book shit, but the costume looked like a chinese halloween knock off you'd buy from amazon for like five bucks.

‘Captain Marvel’: Gemma Chan Joins Cast As Minn-Erva
EXCLUSIVE: Another piece of Captain Marvel casting has fallen into place. Humans star Gemma Chan is set to play Minn-Erva in the Disney/Marvel superhero movie that stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel. Per the comics-verse, Minn-Erva (aka Doctor Minerva) is a Kree geneticist and spy.
Well now we know how Fury got his serum.
Action-Comedyhttp://ew.com/movies/2018/03/01/capt...carol-danvers/Captain Marvel has a very funny voice, and it’s more of an action-comedy. I love funny female characters, so as Tomb Raider got more serious, I got even more committed to the idea of Captain Marvel being hilarious.
That’s not just me inventing that. Carol Danvers is one of the funniest comic book characters. She’s so sassy, she’s such a smartass, she won’t take sh— from anyone, and the comic books do an amazing job at capturing that voice, and it was important that the entire Captain Marvel creative team [kept that].
Comedy in a Marvel movie? Really going outside the box for this one.
DeWanda Wise (She's Gotta Have it) is out due to Netflix commitment, Lashana Lynch (Still Star-Crossed) is in

‘Captain Marvel’ Adds Clark Gregg and Djimon Hounsou, Begins Production
Filming for Marvel’s first female-fronted superhero tentpole, “Captain Marvel,” began Monday in Los Angeles, and a behind-the-scenes photo shows a pilot-suit-clad Brie Larson posing in the cockpit of a plane.
In the photo, Larson, the Oscar-winning actress who stars as the title character, smiles alongside Brigadier General Jeannie Leavitt, 57th Wing Commander. Larson shadowed Leavitt at the Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada to prepare for her role, which is based on the comic book Air Force Officer-turned-superhero Carol Danvers.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, “Captain Marvel” marks the 21st film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, after the yet-to-be-released “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp.” The star-studded cast also includes Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as Mar-Vell, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, and McKenna Grace.
Marvel also announced that Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson), Lee Pace (Ronan the Accuser), and Djimon Hounsou (Korath the Pursuer) have officially joined the cast.
Other filming locations for “Captain Marvel” include Fresno, Calif., and Louisiana, while Los Angeles will serve as its primary production base. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige produced the film, which is set for release in the U.S. on March 8, 2019. Other members of its creative team include “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” cinematographer Ben Davis and “Gravity” production designer Andy Nicholson
Cool
Glad to see Clark Gregg getting a chance to shine in the MCU on the big screen again.
More hype than I was previously. I'm a big Coulson fan. And bringing back Ronan before his rebellion will be great
i guess, ronan was one of the worst villains so far so hopefully they let lee pace do something with him this time
Phase 3 has been great for villains so far, with the exception of Dr. Strange. Hela, Ego, Vulture, Killmonger - even Zemo might have had a kind of stupid plan but he was a compelling character. Looking forward to some redemption for Ronan.
