Is November 2nd still the opening date? I read something on this Yesterday now saying March 2019, which won't leave much time between it and Avengers Infinity War part 2.

It's March 6. Got 2 months before Infinity War part 2
Is this delay really wise? The general public really has no clue who Captain Marvel is. It's going to be a really big void of MCU action after Ant-Man and the Wasp.
New Magazine cover showing off classic suit
Something happening in about an hour:
There is also Black Panther 2 news coming sometime this month. Maybe it will take the Guardians 3 2020 slot.

https://ew.com/movies/2018/09/05/cap...mpression=trueEW’s cover (below) finds Carol somewhere between the Earth and the sky — a fitting place for a hero who’s trying to figure out how to reconcile her alien abilities with her more human flaws. Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel sidesteps the traditional origin-story template, and when it begins, Carol already has her powers. She’s left her earthly life behind to join an elite Kree military team called Starforce, led by Jude Law’s enigmatic commander.
But before long, Carol finds herself back on Earth with new questions about her past. And she’s got a formidable enemy in the form of the Skrulls — the notorious Marvel baddies made all the more dangerous by their shape-shifting abilities. Ben Mendelsohn plays their leader Talos, who spearheads a Skrull invasion of Earth.
