Been having low motivation to play much of anything recently but I would mind popping up.
Jeff Kaplan with a long post about some of the initiatives they are working on for the future. No huge reveals, but pretty good communication and worth a gander:

2 crates tonight. Total of 6 sprays, an ugly Widowmaker skin, and a used player icon...
Speaking of Widowmaker, any advice to improve her aim? Practice map doesn't help much and training against AI is anything but useful.
This guy has some good advice:
However, after practicing for a week I realized I am just old and have to accept I am old and will never be good at Widowmaker.
If anything though I'd practice on this site that guy linked:

It's a really good program.
[edit] It should be noted those drills are good for all classes to improve.
I too lack the twich reflexes of my 16 year old CounterStrike 1.6 self
Something from Tumblr. Pharah decided to do a dew barrage as air support. This was the final comic frame
Useless healers are the worst. Had a game yesterday where I was Reinhart and never had healing despite the healer being alive. He started as Zenyatta and I had Harmony Orb one time. Switched to Lucio and I don't think he ever used his Amp It Up. We won anyway, but not much help from me since I was getting torn apart by a Roadhog and Bastion combo on Gibraltar.
On the other side, I had some good matches earlier as Reinhart. Got a POTG and a good amount of medals (other than objective time).
Mal, Johnblaze, John's buddy, and I ended up against a really evenly matched team for a ~8 matches in a row last night; great time. That said, defense won every single time until the last game where we rushed the shit out of both points on Volskaya. I really think they need to provide some boost to attackers, particularly on the two-point capture mode (payload provides some cover and healing); defense has an innate advantage in these game modes. Attacking an entrenched Torb x2, Symmetra x3, Bastion comp at the standard choke points is just ridiculous (which we did on Hanamura last night). It doesn't have to be an actual boost; just adding an additional map path to get around the primary choke points would also work.
I too have accepted this, but last night I went on a 13-kill streak and finished ~17-2 on WM with a POTG. Blind squirrels find a nut eventually, etc. I've found this game is pretty generous for swipe-sniping.
Hanamura's first point is dreadful to attack. Main thing is for offense to thin out numbers. Course it's a moot point if they have portals online. But the idea is to keep pushing to get them off the arch. Played Reinheart on attack for that map last night, solo queue. Junk + Torb + Reinheart + Hanzo defending the arch with Symmetra + Zenyatta support (eventually Symmetra changed to Mercy). So I give up the body to take out the shield by charging Reinheart. Attention focused away from squishies as I fall on the point/bell. Eventually the defensive wall is in disarray. Course it could have gone worse if my team didn't take the brief window to attack and kill turrets.
Volskaya 1st point isn't terrible if you exploit the cross-water path to the left with Lucio/D.Va/Reaper (Mercy can but needs help) if they are heavily committed to defending the choke. You can get a notch on the capture time if they are slow to react. At the very least, it destabilizes the choke.
Every capture map win feels so fucking good. Especially frickin Anubis
So is there a way to stop Reinhardts dash other than hitting a wall? Dashed myself off a cliff twice on one of the maps.
Not on your own, no.
Okay yeah, maybe I better stick to Roadhog then
Had some god awful fucking teams last night. Two different games we are on defense and i'm first on eliminations, second on damage as Symentra, and they weren't eye popping numbers. Both were below 4k total damage and like 12-15 eliminations.
Anubis B defense with any amount of Torbs is so fucking OP on consoles. It feels like there's nothing you can really do about it except be Widow. Even Pharah/Junkrat don't really seem to work because no matter how far away I am it seems like it has vision on me. Or one of my teammates could switch to Reinhardt instead of 3 Mccrees suiciding until the end of the match.
I agree with the sentiment that control point maps (whatever the one where both sides "attack" is) are the best if only because defense advantage is not inherently granted to one team. You have to sort of earn it and even then it's in a room open from all sides.
Before you joined up a couple more of his friends were in the group. Match making is funky as hell when you're in a group with new people. Believe 3 of them were below rank 10, we were queuing into randoms that were 5-20. One game I swear they didn't realize they had to capture a point, they just trickled into areas of no importance and died one by one.
Idk, maybe Wulf, John, and the gang all suck, but Symmetra is fucking beast if the other team doesn't handle you. In our groups I often get medals on kills/damage. Maybe it's different with twitchy PC aiming. For eliminations, it's important to remember that if your turret even hits them a single time, you're getting credit for the kill.
Space your turrets out (but still covering the same general area) so a well placed explosion doesn't kill them all and enemies are left with having to vertically aim at them one by one, wasting time and dying. Always throw full charged blue balls at choke points, it distracts them and if they don't pay attention, they (and everyone behind them) are taking 125 damage. If they start busting through your team's defenses, hide to the side and flank behind them. Often times you can hop on someone with your primary fire and as long as you stay mobile, there's not much they can do. Once you down one, you're at beam lvl 3 doing 120 damage a second, melting most before they can react. It's fun shit. There's a certain satisfaction killing Reapers, McCrees, Soldiers, and D.Vas.
Oh, I know how to play Sym. There just should be no way she should be doing more damage then a Reaper, Pharrah, or Bastion(the only one to do more damage then me).
Did almost give a mercy potg though. Got a quad kill right before Mercy's res went off. Still won as we had a bastion in tank mode and they just melted again.
