    Unity concord

Basic starter info can be found here http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/44944
BG Wiki getting started info: https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Category:Unity_Concord

Some additional info I've found... seems almost all repeatable RoE give some accolades though most are very little (we are talking like 30 for killing nms 50 for doing 5 reives etc). While the unity specific ones give 100-500 from what I've seen but they aren't repeatable (though it does appear they reset after the daily unity rank tally)

Accolades are need to buy a few things and upgrade/make equipment. The under level 99 equipment (ie abyssea +1 stuff) seems to require 3 trophies from level 75 wanted NMs. The ilvl 119 +1 stuff requires NQ version and 50 trophies most likely coming from 119+ wanted fights. Wanted fights don't give accolades but instead require them

    Unity (Shared E)
Not sure what the E is for (maybe rank?)

Unity Comminque- Use unity chat twice. Reward: 100 sparks, 500 xp, 100 acc

Home point comrade - form a party with someone in same unity and examine a homepoint. Reward: 100 sparks, 500 xp, 100 acc

Vanquish multiple enemies- Defeat 20 xp mobs. Reward: 100 sparks, 500 xp, 300 acc

Vanquish Plantoids - Defeat 20 xp plantoids. Reward: 100 sparks, 500 xp, 300 acc

Vanquish Arcana with physical dmg - Defeat 20 xp arcana with physical dmg Reward: 100 sparks, 500 xp, 400 acc

Vanquish undead with magic- Defeat 20 xp undead with magic dmg - Reward: 100 sparks, 500 xp, 500 acc

Total successful cooking synthesis - succeed at cooking 10 times - Reward: 100 sparks, 500 xp, 300 acc

Total seawater catches - reel in 20 seawater catches - Reward: 100 sparks, 500 xp, 300 acc

Total successful logging attempts - succeed at logging 10 times- Reward: 100 sparks, 500 xp, 300 acc

    Unity (Naja Salaheem)

SE said these ones would differ based on which unity so would be nice to get a list for each one...

Spoils (puk wings) - Obtain a puk wing from battle 5 times - Reward: 100 sparks, 500 xp, 500 acc

Conflict west ronafure - Defeat 10 enemies in west ron (doesn't have to be xp)- Reward: 100 sparks, 500 xp, 300 acc

Vanquish puks - Defeat 10 xp puks - Reward: 100 sparks, 500 xp, 500 acc

Subjugate Fungus beetle - Defeat fungus beetle once - Reward: 100 sparks, 500 xp, 1000 acc

cure status ailments - cure status ailment of a party or alliance member other than yourself 5 times - Reward: 100 sparks, 500 xp, 500 acc

    Unity (wanted)
To do these fights you have to undertake the RoE and then click on a spot (forget what they are called) at the position it lists in the objective. I assume when you start the fight it consumes your accolades (definitely didn't when I accepted) Must have 3 people to start the fight and trusts don't count. Also they appear repeatable

Anyone has more insight on how this works? I got credit during mission fight as SCH when our WHM removed stuff from our WAR.

I think pt ones it just has to happen in pt... like when you do the check HP one only 1 person has to check the HP and everyone completes it

anyone know where Regal Pumps come from? Judging from the stats, it would be from an upgraded version of Alastor Antlion, but no such thing exists on the wanted list. :S

So! Went to do the ram, Ironhorn Baldurno. Not bad, uses MS, spams Great Bleat (accurately!), uses other standard moves. When you complete the RoE (you have to have it set to participate), you get a coffer of the NM's name. Item can contain standard loot (got an Indi-Refresh Plate), gil, or the unique drops, which is either equip or 1-3 of their trophy item.

Ram coffer loaded Grit Earring, Thorfinn Shield, and Bleating Mantle.

I guess it's in the spirit of the system, but it's really silly that you have to group with Unity members to do the most mundane of tasks.

Can't say I'm a fan of the talk in Unity RoE either. Stayed signed in while at work and it was pretty much nothing but

    Joesmoe: (Hello!)
    Joesmoe: (Nice to meet you.)

Think I choose wrong on Bahamut too. Figured Aldo would be popular, but Naja and Apururu are at the top by far.

    People enjoying this?
It still seems like very casual, unnecessarily convoluted, low budget content aimed at small groups to me.
Maybe I need to test it out to have fun with it.

The way I got it you basically farm Unity currency with low level RoEs (solo? group?) and then use them to buy NM "pops" or to empower items you get from NMs and make them +1
There's a couple of nice options there, a couple of nice sidegrades, and the rest is pretty much meh.

    It seems so random.
Where's the sense of progression? Slowly discovering a new content with depth, strategies to be found, developed and deployed, teamwork, something to look forward to.
Dunno, it seems so anticlimatic and boring, with all these menus, countless boring and slow FFXI-esque menus from where to pick what you want... (or can you do it from the RoE menu? Which would be much better, it's pretty responsive)

Feel like more abyssea weapon magian trials to me.

Killed Arke twice. Complete joke. Could probably kill it dd/nin and rdm with ease(even though it's ilvl125), though any mage with debuffs/dispel would probably work too. Addle it and watch it spam carol/minne/mambo on itself; did foe lullaby II once. About 87,500 hp, and 1021acc gave me 82% acc. Benediction around 35%

Ya but you can't even join the chat channel during JP time.

EDIT: It's even worse - even if you have your spot in unity, you can get kicked out of it when you zone.

Is there a cooldown for writing lines in the Unity chat, similar to the one for the /yell command?

what new strategy to be found when everything is dissected and is known system wisr. + content gets face rolled mostly 1 week after release.
only if they released a similar gap as delve 1.0 you wont faceroll everything (as in ilvl 139 content, delve was 119 vs lvl 99 geared peeps)

  20. #20

Though tbf, groups on Odin had "rolled over" Delve 1 when it was new within a week or two.

So it's just not a gap, it's also the reward to effort.

Delve 1 was originall 18man content that needed people to be on the ball (unlike the VW waiting game at the time).
And on top of that the 110 weapons shat all over the REMs... So even being able to Fudo all the things... You couldn't hit for shit against these NMs.
And the the 119s (which back then were SHIT compared to what they are now), were just beyond compare.

    The Unity gear?
    It's... Not even sidegrade.
    It's newbie gear.

Which is really telling with the +1 abyssea noob gear.
Most of these 119s have better options that we already have...
But if you start tomorrow, they will look appealing to you. (Eg 3 refresh body. It's shit. EVERY 99+ mage body has refresh nowadays of +2... But if you don't have a spurina coif, wivre hairpin or some other form of head refresh -Heka Nefer combo- then this body is appealing for you... Because it's basically an "easier to get" refresh+1 head and refresh+2 body. Cause 109 RFs beat its stats for use beyond refresh...)

The problem I see is that because it's geared for new people... Older people won't care to do it. (Which I've already seen.)
It's the same as their "go farm capacity points 6man" argument for merits.
Think what you will, but the Truth is that Abyssea Merit Parties were good for the game because they gave endgame players ample merits, and they gave new players ample exp... And not only that but gave them a reason to exist beyond leeching: keying.
Which is why I think they should "fix" WKRs by having the RoE give anywhere from a full job point upon completion to 1/3.
It helps endgamers by giving a good source of JPs and it helps new players get WKR gear and augments...
And it makes the content sustainable. Which has always been the biggest problem with SoA's design.
And without a downside like VW's "sustainability" from its droprates.
