I'm not entirely sure what you mean "makes more per game sale." Because if you mean it literally, I'm pretty sure blu-rays are significantly cheaper to print than cartridges, and it's a $60 game vs $40, so there's should be higher profit margins on each copy sold of XV that way. If you mean each copy sold make back a larger portion of the development/marketing cost used on the game, then I absolutely agree with you.
But XV is aiming for 10 million copies (lol), BD and BS combined might have barely crested 2 million. If XV tanks, there's no chance in hell for BD to pull them back up.
