I loved both Parasite Eve games.
The third one was amazing for PSP.
Well... yes and no.
I personally rank it as the worst of the three in all aspects although there is a reason for the gameplay difference. I also liked the twist in the story even if the execution was messy but I'd rather get a new one that ignored The 3rd Birthday completely.
And gimme the gameplay of PE2 back as well I really liked the mixed Resident Evil/RPG stuff in there.

Takashi Tokita (Final Fantasy IV lead designer, Parasite Eve director) is starting a "secret mission" for the Switch. Hmmm....
On yesterday's The Know roundup, they mentioned that Microsoft was trying to convince SE to develop games for them now that they have the powerful Scorpio. SE turned them down because they want to focus on the Switch. So expect more SE Switch exclusives.

It's not just some random company spokesperson either. This is straight from Matsuda's mouth.
also of note:
I hope that doesn't just mean they're hedging their mobile teams to develop for Switch too, but that they see the trend for mobile is starting to decrease a little and would rather put a "not quite full console but too big for cell phone" (TWEWY, Seiken, etc) on the Switch.Smartphone titles in the first half of 2016 did poorly, their motto this year is ‘something else’ as they have to stand out and be different from the competition in order to attract users on phones and not just continue making these games using the same templates as they have before.
Smartphone users aren’t just looking for light games anymore, but more hardcore experiences
It's time that FFRK finally died off.
