Never change SE
LOL more amazing than any of their mobile game teasers.
This is what happens when they dump everything towards FFXIV ARR/Expansion.
Meh. I guess we never really lost anything if there was nothing in the first place.
What, they push Final Fantasy XV into full development, start working on Kingdom Hearts III, remaster Final Fantasy Type-0, Final Fantasy X/X-2, Kingdom Hearts 1, Chain of Memories, 2, Birth By Sleep, and Final Fantasy Agito, release Final Fantasy XIII/2/3 on the PC, and develop and or publish a new Dragon Quest, new Lara Croft, new Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy Explorers, Just Cause 3, Bravely Second, Bravely Default, Sleeping Dogs, and Theatrhythm?
I'm all for shitting all over SquareEnix for being terrible, but comments like that are such low effort drivel that I honestly don't understand the point of making it. Perhaps you wanted to focus on the fact that they have a(nother) teaser/announcement for a title that isn't *insert favorite SquareEnix property here*, but that isn't the fault of them attempting to fix what was an absolutely atrocious showing by their actual development branch and a less than stellar decision by some managers to tease a Spelunker game (then again, maybe the remake released did so well that this actually does make sense; I don't have the data to argue either way).
Say what you want about their decision to fix FFXIV, but before you go and blame that for the current state of SquareEnix, look at what they've done for the past 15 goddamn years versus what they've done since FFXIV failed and they started working on ARR. Spoiler alert: most of the stuff is going to be remakes, publishing games other companies developed, and titles that received mixed reactions.
Actually, you know what happened 15 years ago? The Spirits Within. How about instead of pointing to ARR as the reason for their current situation, you start blaming them for making a Final Fantasy movie that had almost nothing to do with Final Fantasy while being a stock cliche story that took no effort to be intelligent. That happened at about the same time they started publishing more and more games (they had already briefly started down the rerelease train when they put their SNES games on the PlayStation). You know who wrote the initial script and directed The Spirits Within? Hironobu Sakaguchi.
You heard it here first, folks: Hironobu Sakaguchi ruined Square. Square ruined Enix, then SquareEnix ruined Eidos. All because they wanted to make a realistic movie and put Sakaguchi in charge of it.
Oh man, the tears are flowing.
Spelunker Best Announcement is Best.
You know, I'll accept this ONLY if they do a bitchin remake of the original NES menu theme. I loved that song. Really deep for an early gen NES song.
actually worse than chocobo reading island
Square is walking in Ubisofts footsteps, but instead of following it step for step they're looking for all the dog shit on the side and devouring it along the way.
Holy fuck... Why even bother teasing about it?
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!
Come on, guys. The Z worked for Dragonball. Give it a chance!
JRPG surprise for fiscal 2015 Teasedhttp://gematsu.com/2015/03/square-en...or-fiscal-2015Square Enix president Yosuke Matsuda teased a “considerable amount of high-end games” for the company’s fiscal 2015, including a Japanese RPG “surprise.”
“For fiscal 2015, I think we have a considerable amount of high-end games both inside and outside the country,” Matsuda told Nikkei Trendy. “Starting with Final Fantasy XV, we’ll be putting out news for Japanese RPGs.”
Matsuda continued, “I think we’ll have a little surprise, too,” before clarifying he’s referring to “a JRPG for home game machine(s).”
Square Enix’s personal resolution for fiscal year 2015, according to Matsuda, is “a box of surprises.” This apparently refers to how well the company can deliver in terms of releasing surprising and interesting works.
“With respect to HD titles for 2015, our Japanese and Western studios are both bolstering their lineups considerably, so it’d be wise to keep an eye on them,” Matsuda concluded.

Very appropriate that you put it in here considering the last "surprise" we "received".
Just remake 9 already. I want to play it again Except HD lol.
