Honestly all they need is to stop letting Tri-Ace do the story because it's nothing more than a current time anime with space ships in it. They have so much damn lore they could explore but they rarely revisit it.
If the execution turned out well, I wouldn't really mind. However, things don't turn out so great whenever an entry to a beloved franchise gets farmed out to someone else. I could picture a Platinum-developed SO game with over-the-top space battles and a boatload of QTE's.
If they went with current anime trends, it would be something like Slice of Life - IN SPAAAAAACE!
In funnier news. SE has decided to team up with local Japanese police. Together they are having a campaign to stop people from using their smartphones while driving, or in any dangerous situation. SE has put out a funny FFXIV commercial in Japan that shows what happens when you use your smartphone, and not paying attention to anything around you.

GameInformer is reporting that Acquire (Bravely/Octopath) is now its own division at Square Enix, devoted exclusively to development of titles for the Switch, and that new Switch announcements should be coming soon.

MUCH better use of resources and capital than Luminous Studios and those damned gorillas.
Really hope we get a new bravely default. Not sure how I feel about Octopath after playing the demo.
Can I play a decent version of ff6 on switch?

Haven't finished their current title, lets hurry up and announce the next one. Already making a bad move, don't know what the size of their team is but I can't imagine it's beyond 25.
I'd greatly appreciate a decent new IP for the Switch.
Assuming you mean Octopath Traveler which releases in just over a month, what else has been announced? If the people making it are functionally done with the title, why not announce what's coming up next? Shits business, if anything, I'm glad they'll be announcing something new soon. Hopefully the rest of SE adopts this mentality of finish game > announce next game, repeat. Dunno why you'd think the team would be so small either. They saw success with Bravely and most seem pretty hyped for Octopath.
Not to mention that we aren't talking about AAA development here, it's pretty much an indie division within SE so their development time isn't as long.
It's also common that at the end of the development cycle some people move on to the next project since all that's left is bug testing (regardless they likely have already gone gold and in production of physical media at this point).
This is fan made, but one can dream !!!
