The Flash is Crossing Over With Supergirl

As the World’s Fastest man, the Flash can run anywhere in the world in a matter of seconds. Even National City.

CBS announced today that Grant Gustin’s Flash will be crossing over into an episode of Supergirl later this year—a development that’s sure to please fans of both series. While details of what the crossover will entail are yet to be revealed, the episode is set to air on Monday, March 28th.

"We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl—The Flash and Supergirl are teaming up!,” said The Flash and Supergirl Executive Producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg. “We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out. So continuity wise, Supergirl is tied in with MoS Superman, right? Her crossing over with TV's Flash, implies that all are in same universe. Including Arrow. Which is great news, cause I am fucking tired of them retconning everything for the sake of blockbuster movies.

Its not tied in at all sorry =/. The TV shows can be tied in as they are doing now but they are def not in the same universe as the movies.

I don't think Gotham is part of this universe. Hell even the summary for the Flash crossover says that he accidentally comes from an alternate universe.

Rumors constantly pop up that if they ever decide to have Superman fully appear it will be Smallville's Tom Welling only because he has some sort of deal with CBS already for other projects.

Gotham the show doubtfully isn't...but I do remember a line from a few episodes back where someone says something about her wearing a mask and she replies "I thought they did that in 'that other city'" which I took as it being a nod that Gotham city existed...but of course can't say it because rights/money reasons.
