Clark is her cousin. If he wasn't mentioned or shown in some capacity you'd get the Avengers effect, where shit is happening and they go "lol why superman no help her".

I liked it, because if he didn't show up I'd have wondered where the hell he was too.

At least they explained it, and in a better way than any of the Marvel movies to date.

This is coming from a huge a Marvel fan and even bigger critic of DC.

I have many gripes with the show, most I can keep to myself get and passed. The one thing that irks me the most is how they justify the glasses being able to hide their secret identity. Like she's getting her picture taken all over the place, stands right in front of a news reporter, is never really shy about hiding her face, they should at least explain how she hides when in plain sight.

Like, the explanation they give superman always seemed lame to me, but at least I get it. The one in the show is just retarded.

That's sort of a cost-of-entry thing with superheroes in 2015. Same as some of the shit in The Flash. Doesn't matter who Clark "fools" in the age of facebook having facial recognition good enough to autotag your friends a pair of glasses are not hiding shit from anyone.

Don't think too hard about it. Source material is from the dark ages.

In some Superman mythos they even give him psychic powers which he uses to fool people into thinking Clark Kent is a normal guy. But I'm not sure if that's a main canon or just something they have run with once or twice.

Henshaw is a major villain.

Also, they're blasts of radiation. She can defend from them with her hand because she's standing her ground. When he's blasting her in the fucking face she's getting knocked around and into shit.

She's not invincible, damn.

Also annoying this episode was switched in order because of the bombings. Weird to watch already knowing the results of the Lucy/James thing.
