Force Ghost Leia, yo.
Force Ghost Leia, yo.
I do believe that still qualifies as dead.
Yeah, she ain't dying. Hamill confirmed at NYCC that Leia's story will receive closure in EP9.

Leia will be incapacitated by Kylo or Snoke via telekinesis or something. The Resistance will be forced to put her into carbonite and she'll "sleep" instead of die.
Book it.
I think a lifetime of Spice abuse will catch up to her and she'll have a heart attack on an X-wing while on her way back from filming an Alliance hologram.

Stopped watching the trailer like 1 min in when I remembered that showing the whole movie in trailers is a thing now.
No, just a nerf-herder.
I'm thinking Kylo won't be able to kill her as he didn't seem to resent Leia as much as he resented Han. Snoke, in anger, will kill her instead. Guessing this'll be why we see Kylo reach out to Rey at the end of the trailer. That scene could be a red herring, so who knows.
I wouldn't rule out the carbonite sleep theory. Tasteful, safe way to send out the character and respect the actress.

A couple scenes not in the previous trailer, but nothing spoilery.
So it was Rey he was talking to when he said it's not going to go the way you think.
Also, I'm pretty sure that is Luke in the Throne Room at 0:13.
2 of Disney's Demands from Theaters revealedhttps://www.wsj.com/articles/disney-...edi-1509528603Theatres in the United States will have to fork over 65% of the film’s box office earnings to Disney, and screen The Last Jedi in their largest auditorium for the first four weeks of the film’s run.
These terms will take effect if the movie earns more than $500 million in North America.
Well it's not without precedent where Star Wars is concerned. I think Lucas got 100% of the ticket price for the initial weeks of the prequel releases as well as pretty high cuts (75% +) of the box office for the various special edition runs.
The new wrinkle here is the requirement that the theatres run the movie on their largest screens for a minimum of 4 weeks or pay a penalty. I think the real intent of that is to give some teeth to Disney staking out release dates on the calendar should they extend the practice to their other major releases and convince the other studios to give their big tent poles a wide berth by relegating them to the non-prime screens if they don't.
That last shot of Rey is reversed
It almost makes me think that they are sparring in the rain or this scene takes place right after sheSpoiler: show
