All I want is for Rey to do some kickass stuff and someone to ask "Who are you?" and without missing a beat, she will say as the camera dramatically zooms in, "I am a Jedi, like my father before me."

That's the only scene I can remember where he actually seemed like he enjoyed himself. And hanging upside down. Then he gets all pissed about the boats no blowing up and acts all whiny. Worst part though was the lack of the laugh. It was in one of the first previews and got me all excited. Then we never got the laugh in the movie
We got a decent laugh during the interrogation scene, but yeah the trailer laugh was better.
Back on topic tho. I think, like Empire Strikes Back, we'll see more training and backstory of Rey, instead of action. Same with Kylo, or Darth-whatever he becomes. Which is good because that'll mean more action scenes from Poe, and hopefully Captain Phasma, whom I believe will be on the hunt for Finn, like Boba and Han in the OT.
Delayed from May 26th to December 15th.
Thanks Serra!
When you say it like that, you make it sounds like it's my fault >.>;
I honestly thought it's been December this whole time... Oh well
Lame but I as well, figured it was December again anyway
Fucking Serra. Was originally coming out a day before my bday
Will be interesting to see if this and Avatar 2 eat into each others box office
Most definitely will. Feel like either Avatar 2 will move or this is gonna end up being a bad move.
Also noticed, the next Pirates of the Caribbean is slated for the old release date. Disney probably wanted to separate the 2 movies too.
I wonder if this was because of production issues, or to take advantage of the holiday season again.
Seen it suggested it's because of rewrites
Rewrites to give Captain Phasma and Poe Dameron more screen time, Lucasfilm was surprised at how well they were received

Surprised that the fandom that turned 13 seconds of screen time into a full blown character was taken with two characters who had a total of like 5 minutes of screen time?
It makes complete sense for them to move it. Disney wants to maximize profits for their Marvel films, and the original release date of Episode 8 was a 3 week gap after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. The December release date means that there is a much wider and safer gap of 6 weeks that Thor 3 can enjoy at the box office. Having it go against Avatar seems a bit risky, but I think they are counting on Avatar 2 to be delayed and pushed back again. I also heard that because it did so well in December they are most likely going to keep Star Wars as a December release date moving forward meaning Episode 9 will be December 2019.
Edit. Avatar 2 just got delayed indefinitely.
