I think people still like Will Smith, they just hate the movies he's been making lately. I'm trying to think of the last good one he made, and I think it was I Am Legend. Also, people resent him for getting his son in movies when the kid is clearly not talented.
Also, from what little I know of Deadshot(IE watching Arrow) he doesn't seem like the best fit for the role. Deadshot seems like a sarcastic, gallows humor kinda guy whereas Will is best when you let him be a cocky smartass. Not saying he can't pull off the character since he's a pretty good actor when he's not intentionally being deadpan to let his son seem good, but spending all that money on him for this role was probably not the best choice.
As for DC not using established actors, gotta agree with all the wtf. Arrow and Flash are both really popular shows, while DC movies(that aren't done by Nolan) have a spotty record at best. I don't understand why they wouldn't want to cash in. If they don't have the rights to do so, could someone explain that situation? Marvel's rights problems are pretty clear, but I don't understand how WB could have the rights to use the characters, but not the actors.
I can't pull it out my ass but I remember reading somewhere that the movies and tv shows are 'alt universes'. The DC boss said or something
They wouldn't want to connect the movie and show universes as that locks in what either of them can do. It forces them to follow each others presentation of characters and forces them to have to synchronize for events. From what I understand Marvel has been having problems connecting their shows to their movies. Coordinating separate groups of writers and directors is difficult so it is understandable that they would keep the universes apart.
Similar deal with actors, if they start using the same actors then they have to plan how they are going to schedule the movies and shows around each other. I'm not sure if it is even possible to have the lead of 23(?) episode per season show be the lead in a movie at the same time. Also there is the problem of who casts who. Do you get a cheap actor to play a part cause you know they will be appearing often in the show or do you get a more expensive one as they have to appear in a movie?
DC has explained that the two coexist in the sense of a multiverse. So technically, Superman, Batman, etc could show up in Arrowverse without there being any contridictions. Supes is already set to appear in Supergirl along with his Mother.
Marvel has been having problems?
Uh, no.
DC has been a fan of multiple universes for decades. Even though it tends to be a clusterfuck, they keep on doing it.
Pretty sure that they want to be able to do a "Crisis" storyline with the multi-universe even if they haven't said so.
margot robbie is gorgeous, that is probably why she does it for you
oh dear
Good ole' Joker getting a tramp stamp.
I could see Joker having a kick me sign tat'd on his back but the rest of that shit? C'mon
