Also can someone check the help text on Shark Bite and Mordant Rime?
Also can someone check the help text on Shark Bite and Mordant Rime?
now I wanna see them pld CDC burns!
I kept seeing everyone freaking out about damage on garbage mobs and figured I would go do Tojil on Vajra THF to check it out. My high was a Sneak Attack 300 TP Rudra's it was 31K on the eft NM. Then also a 29K on the raptor NM and Tojil with Mandalic Stab. I was also doing 6-7K mandalic stabs unstacked on Tojil with 100TP with peaks in the 8-9k range. Averaging 6,200 which was just about 500-1000 higher than the monks with smite.
I also did a little bit of testing in Woh gates, Rudra's and Mandalic @ 100TP seemed to do about 2.5-4K on the worms non-stacked. Stacked was 10k or so @ 100TP and more around 20-23K with 300TP(one shotting them).
It's 'Delivers a twofold attack' for Shark Bite.
Just to bring people back to reality for a moment, SARudra and TARudra is something THFs can only do once a minute, whereas most jobs can spam their strongest WSs every 4-8 seconds. I've literally sat back and watched a Koga SAM WS back to back to back almost indefinitely before the animation even finishes. Don't be under some illusion that THFs are that much ahead of other DD jobs.

Gorget+Belt = 2650, 2661, 2696, 2719 damage
So they raised it to 1.75 fTP, probably.
Sheesh, reading all this now I'm really excited to try out my melee whm and see how Realmrazor's dmg has changed. XD
Vorpal Blade doing really High dmg for me
Like more then CDC dmg (pld with excal) by a lot
Also doing like 7.5k savage blade at 100 tp 10k at 3000
As for Shark Bite:
"Delivers a twofold attack. Damage varies with TP."
Confirmed fTP transfer on CDC. Working on the new values for Vorpal, Savage, and Expiacion in a bit.
Super quick NIN eyeballing, Shun looks surprisingly strong even at 1/5, Ten looks good at high TP. I didn't see any really big Hi, but maybe with crit it will be good.
Don't have great gear, but I've never seen a number like this before. Usually I only get 4-5k out of CDC. Doubt the Dia3 made a big difference.
With 245 Mnd, 5/5 Realmrazer, belt/gorget, and capped attack, I'm getting 9kish Realmrazers on various NMs when all hits land. Nifty little boost, but nothing compared to what others are reporting with most other WSs. Very curious to try out a maxed Hexa set since it double dipped in the buff juices.
Do want some reliable tests ;_;
Eyeballed some Rudra, Mordant, Evis and Exenterator (5/5) on BRD. Targets used were rabbits in Kamihr and Butterflies in Ra'kaz. Marchx2/Minux2 were my songs. Small sample, around 20 of each, most at 1000TP aside a few tests at higher TP.
My completely irrelevant results are:
Rudra >= Mordant (Carns) > Evis >= Exen (5/5)
Rudra was equal/better than Mordant even at 1000TP (no Moonshade)
Evis was giving variable results, more or less equal/better than Exen. It seems its damage is scaling better with TP compared to before?
Exenterator was giving very solid results, but still worse than the rest.
That reminds me my Exen build might not be up to date hmmm
Can't wait to see more details on Dagger and Katana! Might be finally worth to get Shun 5/5?
Some fun numbers
Previous fTP = 2.25 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 5.25
New fTP = 2.25 + 2.25 + 2.25 + 2.25 = 9 before accounting for multihits
71.4% increase in fTP, i.e., a 71.4% increase in damage.
Add gorget and belt
2.45 + 2.45 + 2.45 + 2.45 = 9.8
86.7% increase in fTP, i.e., a 86.7% increase in damage.
Adding in multiattack on a top tier CDC set (22%DA 8%TA)
100 * .08 = 8
8 * 2 = 16 + 100 = 116
100 - 8 = 92
92 * .22 = 20.24 + 116 = 136.24 attacks
1.3624 avg attacks, average of 36.24% chance of getting a multiattack worth 2.45 fTP, i.e., average fTP gain of 0.88788 http://fTP. CDC has more than one hit, so .88788 * 2 = 1.77576 average fTP gain from multihit.
1.77576 * .99 = 1.7580024 average fTP gain after correcting for accuracy (aside from the offhand hit, which I can't be bothered to account for and won't make a major impact anyway).
2.45 + 2.45 + 2.45 + 2.45 + 1.7580024 = 11.5580024
17.9% increase in fTP, 17.9% increase in damage from multihits.
Old fTP vs new fTP with gorget/belt/multihits: 120.2% increase in fTP, 120.2% increase in damage.
