He exchanged quite a few words with what turned out to be a very loud and drunk gentleman from Staten Island. They have quieted down in the last few minutes due to a policeman telling them to fucking stow it. Gentleman #2 returned inside to the bar after a few last obviously scathing remarks. The original drunk or "OD" has resumed discussing his love of beers and how after his next one he's gonna "look for a scrappin". My vigil continues.

OD is now arguing with a girl (whom I cannot hear from 29 stories up) about hockey. He is not a Rangers fan or an Islanders fan. I don't know what team he likes but everyone else outside doesn't like it.

There are some of New York's finest about a block up from the bar. I hope they can handle this guy. Judging from his voice he must be 10ft tall with a 2ft dick.

OD has returned to the safety of the bar's outdoor smoking area. I heard at least two different languages yelling at him. I'm not fluent in either but I think they were asking him to please relocate from the middle of a major avenue.

Surprisingly, the police have not come down the block yet. They seemed more concerned with things uptown.

OD has actually gone inside to get the beer he needs before he gets into "scrappin". He was outside for about 50 minutes or more in below freezing temperatures. He may need to be checked for frostbite. I'll give him 10 minutes.

I should mention that OD's voice sounds just enough like George Carlin's prayer target that it's a bit weird. Maybe more than a bit.

Sonomaa, I fear for OD. He's getting louder and making less sense than ever.

He's wandering between the bar smoking area and the street. He's caused quite a few cabs to stop short and exchange a few choice remarks. The policemen seem to have moved further uptown out of my view. I don't think this is going to bode well for OD.

OD seemed like he was going to leave a minute or five ago but he was merely joshing. He has continued his ranting, this time discussing football. He isn't a Giants fan which, based on the previous information gathered about his hockey preferences, leads me to believe he may be from a strange place where people talk like Joe Pesci and somehow don't like any New York sports teams. I will posit that he probably hails from Staten Island as I have an acquaintance from that borough who roots for the Cowboys, the Blackhawks and the New Orleans Evil State Birds. Thankfully I think both OD and my acquaintance like the Yankees so all hope is not lost.
