Last I heard, they had to halt filming because the lead royally fucked up his face filming during some stunt/accident. So that obviously put production back however many months he needed to recover. Not sure whether or not the intend to go direct, though.

Agree with this. There's a lot of "average woman you'd pick up in a bar" about her body. Not as much "Why yes, I am paid to professionally keep myself in shape and be a sex symbol."

Reminds me when I saw the trailer for 50 Shades of Grey sequel I was actually surprised for a sec it made enough for a sequel but then remembered "oh yeah, tweens".

I think you guys are crazy. This is the most promising movie adaptation of an anime I have ever seen! That trailer is awesome. Ghost in the Shell was one of the first manga/anime that got me into anime. I don't give a shit about Scarlett Johansson's acting chops as long as she can look the part and do a decent job. To me she does look a lot like Major Kusanagi in the pictures and the trailer. I do have some criticisms though. First I don't like the look of her body. In the anime she has semi-organic skin and muscles and all her female "bits" if you know what I mean. She has a sense of touch and can even eat and drink and experience all the normal sensations of daily life. In the preview it looks like she has all plastic like, artificial skin attached to her in sections. I know why they did that because you couldn't have a nude SJ running around for half the film in America. They could have gone the TV series route though and have them all wear skin tight bodysuits that still work with the optical camouflage idk.. As for the rest of the cast it's mostly fine. Batou fits the part. His eyes look ok to me. I don't like the way Togusa looks. Maybe they didn't want to give him his usual mullet? Cause Americans hate mullets now and all. Aramaki is dead on. I could nit pick other things but this post would go on and on. Besides any flaws I'm all in.

Inception is one of like... 3 movies that I just cannot stand to watch again and had to struggle to finish it on the same tier as the last airbender. This is coming from someone who has watched waterworld and little nicky at least half a dozen times each. It's just a shitty movie whose most interesting scenes such as the hallway are directly lifted from superior source material. It's just a boring movie in which it's pacing is the most offensive factor and biggest drawback to it actually being worth a watch. I mean really, it's pacing is absolute trash.
