Yea that's what I mean, the backstory for a bunch of the characters is that they fought in WW4 which is depicted as recent history, so he's always already had them.
Also if they were gonna CGI his eyes wouldn't he have some kinda markers on his face to tie the animation to? I get the feeling they're just not gonna bother.

If these are legit, what the fucking fuck? Batou and Togusa noooooooooo
wtf @ those? wtf @ this!
I get trying to make him not look normal like in the anime but those eyes...just ridiculous.
Batou and Togusa look relatively fine to me.
I fail to see the problem here.
Togusa is meant to be a mid 20s young police detective, better cast someone who looks 50-60.
Also let's not cast Ron Perlman as Batou, because that'd be too easy, better fuck it up some more because we spent all our casting budget on scarjo.
fucking fuck.
I mean, the movie is probably going to suck for a multitude of other reasons but this ain't one.
Togusa is the one that really bothers me. His entire thing is that he's young and not as experienced as the others.
Batou's missing his signature eyes, although I assume those could be added with special effects later. Might turn out okay after that, but still something seems off.
Aramaki looks almost spot on. I'm liking it.
Major is okay. ScarJo is eye candy to many people, myself included, so no complaints there.
The others I'm indifferent about. The eyes on Boma do look funny though.
I messed up, thought the names were titles above the pictures. When did people start putting titles under pics?? ><;
Yeah Togusa looks all kinds of wrong, but the rest look fine...except those eyes. Dear god those eyes. Might as well be fucking cookie monster googly eyes.
....cautiously optimistic...
Wow so much better than the official stuff lol.
Scarlett is serious about her role
