At one point I had wished that Google was coming to MN, we were in the running at one point, but now we've gotten something better, US Internet. Better speeds and a better price structure compared to Comcast and the other local provider. Only minus side is that their service only covers a small part of the city as Comcast is fighting tooth & nail to shut it down.

Small update, CenturyLink is now offering 1 Gigabit service to homes to compete with US Internet. Unfortunately, both companies only service a small area. When you go to check their prices, they'll only give you a bundle rate, $79.95~, if you do not live in the service area. What they will not tell you is that if you want just the 1GB connection alone, it's $152/month. LOLNO

I have Comcast Blast for $40/m on promo. The same promo that I've been on for almost 3 years. Every time the bill goes up I make the call and haggle. This is with providing my own modem and router.

I'm satisfied with my lil 25/25 when it's actually that and I honestly don't know what I'd do with all that speed. I just want a reduced price or something that doesn't force me into a bundle of TV (that I never even turn on) or phone (because cell phones are the shiznit!).

edit: That's actually my biggest thing with all this. I want the companies in NY to stop charging me more than my car insurance for shit that's retardedly cheaper else where in the country.

I honestly don't know what I'd do with that high of a speed either. I just want reliability, which seems impossible with Comcast. The place my wife and I are looking at moving to only allows AT&T Uverse.
