Idk about the sizes, maybe they'll go for the 'small but fast and stronk' to annoy Godzilla. That said, Kong and Godzilla are 'good guys,' and my take is that they'll team up to fight a common enemy. It's gonna be a balls-to-the-wall fucking brawl, dude.

Kong is literally at least 2 orders of magnitude smaller than God-fucking-zilla. They obviously have to scale Kong up.
