this is gonna be shit
this is gonna be shit
This looks badddddddd
To be fair what do you expect? The first movie was made by someone with a very clear vision of what he wanted and had a passion for what he what he wanted to create. Then they took he film away from him and are trying to cash in. It will hopefully at least an entertaining watch. Can't be worse than any Transformers movie and if it is it might venture into the "so bad its good territory".
Eh.
Vince Staples and 2pac soundtrack is good enough for me. I couldn't even focus on the trailer cuz I was so fired up to hear Vince lol
god damn I miss pac
Jaeger vs jaeger feminds me of that really old movie robotjox. Those new kaiju look awesome. Gonna see it day one just like the first one.
Yes.
A lot more colorful this time around too than the previous. Guess the 2nd trailer will give more insight on the story.
Also iirc up until what's his face did Elba was the only one who had solo piloted and it fucked him up so bad he had to stop piloting. And that weird black market guy's attempts to drift solo fucked him up even worse.
Also is that a giant robot with a fucking light saber?
Needs moar grimdark please.
Only grimdark you're getting is the evil jaeger in the trailer
I remember an interview years ago w/ del toro saying a sequel could have kaijuu+jaeger merged tech from the aliens
It's just so bright.
Dislike.
Is it just me but does it look much more cartoony and less realistic and gritty than the first movie..
They almost look zord quality
This shit lacks detail. Maybe I'm blind (or it's incomplete?), but it doesn't have the moving parts like the first one. For example, when the jaeger walked/punched/ran you'd see all the gears, pistons, etc. etc. in action. This is just garbage. Del Toro is rolling in his grave.
Updated OP. Set 10 years after the first, release date has been pushed to March, and it's being heavily marketed to the Chinese audience after the production company (Legendary) was snapped up by a Chinese firm.
There is also a lot of hands involved in this sequel;
Producers:
Guillermo del Toro
Thomas Tull
Jon Jashni
Mary Parent
Cale Boyter
John Boyega
Femi Oguns
Production Companies:
Legendary Pictures
UpperRoom Entertainment Limited
Double Dare You
Distributed by Universal
I'm just here to see robot/monster fights. Campy writing be damned.
I mean I still laugh at the part in the first one where they said Gipsy was analog after the EMP lol. Just turn off your brain and watch the explosions.
