It's mommy porn as I call it and agreed it's a completely blatant disregard how bdsm relationships work typically. Although of course the reality is that these things still happen in all relationships including bdsm but anyone I know that has even half a fucking clue about it knows it's garbage.

What bothers me is that some newer or uninformed people in the community use it now as a jumping off point which is horrible. It makes my skin crawl when I read people fawning over this drivel and want to just choke them through the computer. I joke to my husband that making me read/listen to this would be the worst torture in existence and I've been through some fucked up stuff lol.

It's just popular because it's so easily accessible to the general population in a "safe" way. The problem as stated is that it completely ignores much of the standards and can cross into abuse disguised as consent. There's no one way to do things but when people who have no clue think this is the standard is when issues arise.
