I've heard Arcade, PS4, and/or PC thrown about as for platforms. Not sure which is right.

Only a matter of time before console release. SE wants money afterall
The graphics look trippy as fuck, like a tech demo from PS1/2 Era. Y'shtola is the worst representative for XIV.
Oh man, I've waited so long for another one of these games. Really enjoyed the second one.
Please console and PC release.
Pls console.
Cat girl must trump everything as I'm still confused why Y'shtola is the official XIV representative. I guess not having a sword does by default make you stand out among the Disidia crowd of characters though. Maybe I'm oblivious to it but is Y'shtola really that popular in Japan?
Oh hell yes! PS4 please! Always wanted a non-Ehrgeiz Final Fantasy brawler for the consoles.
I kinda get Y'shtola for FFXIV, seeing as she's not a primary sword user.
Only good thing about this is that there'll be a new version of the Dissidia main theme.
I love that.
FFXIV characters are in dire need of a makeover.
FFXIV rep should of been one of the generals or Minfillia. I never understood why they decided on Yshtola
She's one of the more popular characters in general since 1.x era, already represented in other franchises and isn't popular just because she has big tits, technically a useless character and is the defacto damsel in distress. (Minfillia.) Kind of like Shantotto has her popularity for a reason, especially in Japan.
To be honest though, there really isn't a good FFXIV character, maybe in 3.0 it'll change but I can definitely see why they choose her. I'd sooner pick Yda over Minifillia if the choice was present.
Eh, she's popular for being a catgirl. I hardly see how that's any better.
As for them not picking the generals... I can see why they wouldn't despite them being the most suitable characters for a game like this. Its probably that if they picked one, fans of the other GCs would feel left out and they probably don't want to do that.
Personally, despite not personally caring much about him (I haven't even done any of the quests) I'd probably have gone with Hildebrand and made him a quirky/joke character like they did with Gilgamesh and since XIV Gil and good ol' Hildebrand are already sorta chummy that could have opened up a comical storyline with him and the Dissidia Gilgamesh.
There's actually a number of better choices that just popped into my head.
Spoiler: show
I'll settle for the poster boy WAR:

i think they picked Y'shtola because well.. she just happens to be popular and has been since 1.0 days..
and i think people recognize her best? as early as the very beginning.
like this scene in the original reveal trailer...

which even if it wasnt her, would eventually become her. (no one else does this)
anyway I'd say the FFXIV representation was already foregone when they put her in TFF:CC.
The graphics really look trippy tho.. as someone said.. its like they didnt bother to use textures or something.
i'm guessing they had to overhaul the battle system just to accomodate 3v3 (balancing, targeting, etc) but i'm really looking forward to this. hope it reaches PS4... and i want way more characters this time.
Wow I actually care about this. Not bad SE, just don't fuck it up.
