Maybe it has to do with colour profiles of monitors or what your eyes adjust to in the meantime? I don't understand the mindfuckery because it's always been white and gold. I've looked on several different monitors/devices and always white and gold.

I actually saw it white/gold last night around 1AM when my eyes were drooping and it was the biggest mindfuck ever. I honestly don't even know how to convince people, because your eyes are your eyes and we trust what we see. Motherfucking science.

It isn't fucking white and gold though. Your eyes obviously are more affected by the yellow light that is present in the picture, as are many people's but don't try to act like the dress in the picture isn't black and blue. It is an optical illusion.

I'm not going to sit here and argue this all day. Millions of people see blue/black, and millions of other people see white/gold. I have seen both, and I trust that the dress was actually blue/black as there is no white/gold option on the designer's page. People are going to see what they see. I'd love the person who took this original photo to go back and take another picture of the same dress in better lighting to settle this debate forever, honestly, but I doubt it will happen.

So I'm absolutely fine with people saying it looks white/gold to them. That's fine. That's how your eyes see color. I took color theory when I was in Interior Design (I think I said this already) and I already know that different people perceive color differently. That doesn't change that the dress actually is blue/black, but as I've been able to perceive both versions of it, I'm not going to call people stupid or plebs for seeing a different color combination than I do.

When I saw it on CNN this morning with my breakfast and things ignored the story but the dress was white and gold, but when I checked BG after I ignored that CNN article. the picture at least in this thread is absolutely blue and black. Doesn't matter what monitor or device I am looking at it on.

Haha, this is what I see too. The black lace doesn't look strong enough in the picture to warrant calling it black, but it most likely is because of the shitty picture quality.

I doubt that style exists in a bunch of dresses, most people I know would not be caught dead in that thing. I suppose it could happen though, but I haven't found any white/gold dresses that look like that.
